Curious why still checking seal codes. I would think that the retiring soon label and sold out status we be all that you need to know (more the first point than the second). I get that sometimes items come back from the dead, but typically if not labeled, as this set clearly was.

You're asking the wrong person. I'm well aware the set is retired.

The question stems from the fact that the set used to be marked retired in the eurozone but then the retired tag was taken off the listing. Further, several European customers ( mostly Ireland i believe) have been able to order this set including several in this post today. Further in the US this has not yet been marked retired.    It does appear to be that way, since no one in the US has been able to order the set in several weeks.

Since there's been several posts about people with the ability to order this set up until today it's very valid to ask what seal codes they are seeing.

I thought we all agreed?, no posting about the Tumbler for 48 hours!

My local Smyths have loads back in stock. They however must of got a sniff of its popularity and have now put up the price by £10. Never knew them to do that.

Everyone who could afford and wanted The Tumbler ... Must have one now... surely?

I'm sure those that couldn't afford as well...

It's been their best selling Lego set for at least three weeks, makes sense from their perspective

It´s a UK only phenomenon, however it probably will hold back prices in the rest of Europe.

From eu-store. No, its not possible to order aus more and not even possible to watch Tumblers Page... If you search for the number 76023, there is no Page found

Not nationwide at all. None have made their way to any of the stores in proximity to me. The available stock that's kicking around is clearly not new runs or batches and nothing more than the tail end of stock. If you have the cash you'd be nuts to pass any up because this will be gone for good any day soon.

Mine turned up from Lego today also. I'm hoping the mainland UK stores don't get any more now and that someone in Derry or Ballymena actually buys some of their Smyths stores Tumblers and then we should be able to start seeing what happens as soon as the possibility of buying from stores in the UK is completely done. Comparing it with the Red 5, there's no way I would pay much over RRP for one if I knew that my local Smyths store was possibly going to re-stock them next week, so I feel that that comparison has been slightly unfair for the past few weeks. Lets see what happens when it is actually completely sold out everywhere.

Not showing in stock on-line but 2 on the shelf in store at Smyths in Sheffield as of 10 minutes ago

Sorry, I meant in the Republic - from looking in my local store and on Smyths.ie which shows every shop well in stock.

I've got seven already, but feel that this is the one lego set that is hoarded on an unprecedented level as nearly every new investor has identified this as a home run and we will see an over-priced over-supply of these wallowing around for some time to come.

I'd only sell locally since I'm reluctant to sell anything expensive through ebay, due to the ease at which buyers can scam sellers with bogus claims. So my market isn't very large, but I'm not a big-time investor. I'm happy at a buy-a-few-to-cover-the-cost-of-my-own level.

The only zone with stock still in shops seems to be the UK and Eire, yet units sold in other parts of Europe are not progressing in the way a stellar investment should. Forget about Red 5, there are consistently more  DS being sold on Ebay than Tumblers, for instance.

I had expected the UK to lead the way in demand for Super Heroes but this development really seems to have stunted growth and the possibility of all those Tumblers falling into reseller hands is depressing.

I am going to stick my neck out and predict that by end of year the growth of 2015 large retired exclusives in temrs of % increase over RRP will be led by Red 5, Death Star (maybe even P1 if the new one is not a direct remake) and Tumbler will be more or less at the same level as ToO. I am not sure where Seacow will fit in but I´ll guess it won´t be in last place due to being the most scarce.

Moving ahead 3 or 4 years, it could be that Tumbler makes up some lost ground, but all those SW films should help DS and Red 5 keep an advantage. Not saying any is a loser, just that some won´t be as good investments.
