Knew this was retiring soon and got caught up in other things going on and still missed out on this. Hoping it pops back up somewhere so I can snag one for retail

What was the Seals ?

41R5   I know nothing about what seals mean.  All I know is when I asked the lego shop guy why I cant find it online he said they dont make it anymore.  It had a tumbler in a glass box assembled in the super hero section then 4 boxes above it on display.  The boxes had a sign that said "limit one per customer, please see associate"   So rather then getting the box off the shelf I just told on associate I wanted one and they got it out of the back and brought it up to the register.

We live about 4 hours from Disney and have annual passes and go often on weekends.  A friend we go with a lot is going next weekend and when I told him he asked if they could hold one for him and they said they only hold day of so you have to call that morning.  He didnt ask if he could purchase and pay for shipping as I dont think he is interested in that.

Small side note, Disney Annual pass holders get 10% off but only for "normal" sets.  I did not get the 10% off for this because it is an exclusive.

This is my second tumbler, I finally got one thanks to the stock tracker a couple weeks ago but didn't want to open it.  Now I can build one with no remorse and save the other

Don't do it. It may be another 10 years for a next Tumbler there will be another x-wing before that

Yeah so isn't that why I should trade my Red five for one more Tumbler? Because there'll definitely be more X wing remakes in the future, while Tumbler may never be remade again.

All,

Normally we (mods) have left off-topic posts alone.  however, the full last page here have been more about 10240, wanted ads and other sets or how sets compare to The Tumbler as an investment.

Please try to use the topic below for "xyz vs. abc" sets

...and use the UCS 10240 X-Wing topic for that discussion.

Smyths seem to have even more stock now, home delivery is available again but the price has gone up a tenner to £169.99

My Smyths order just arrived, 39S5, so defiantly an old batch they've found

What's so defiant about this order, did it stand up to the Smyths staff and say yes, I shall be shipped to The Gallows whether you want it or not.

Has anyone seen newer date seals than 39th week of 2015?

I think the US saw 43 or so. But that's it.

Curious why still checking seal codes. I would think that the retiring soon label and sold out status we be all that you need to know (more the first point than the second). I get that sometimes items come back from the dead, but typically if not labeled, as this set clearly was.

Not sure if anyone else had their LEGO Shop at Home order shipped when they mysteriously came back into stock - but my wife just had dispatch confirmation. Nothing for me sadly......

Nothing yet from the Lego order for me. Did grab another one in Telford today though. They had around 8 on the top shelf (that I could see). I really have got to stop buying these now though, it's getting ridiculous ;) I only went in really to see if they were still actually getting them in generally as I was in Telford for another un-connected reason and very nearby.
