Posted this video on another thread but I felt it needed its own thread. At 2:26, he mentions a UCS tumbler coming soon!!!

No idea where thebrickshow got that info from but I'd love to see pictures of it soon!

Looks like it got removed. Nicework

Just as an FYI - the Tumbler is not regarded as a UCS type set by Lego - I don't think this really matters to be honest - but as everybody is decribing it as a UCS - I thought we should get our facts correct.

Thanks for getting in touch with us. I can understand that you are looking forward to get the new LEGO

No joke! The tumbler makes the new Santa's Workshop look like Duplo. Was hoping for a bigger winter village set this year. Can't wait for SepTumbler to come!

Regarding your question, as far as we know the LEGO Tumbler 76023 is a standard LEGO set.

If the Tumbler is their idea of a standard set then I wonder what they consider as exceptional. This is anything but "standard".

To this day i cannot understand Legos position on ucs. The sandcrawler is considered ucs but has no plaque. The tumbler had one yet is missing the label. I've owned the original x wing and blockade runner and star destroyer and those were collector series. It seems like a pretty simple and benign thing for lego to hash out, but they keep avoiding a concise answer like the plague.

True. The old batmobile was a ucs type. No logo! Standard building instructions. Only difference was no minifigs, no plaque but slapped the ucs wording on the box! As far as build, the tumbler wins hands down IMO

The UCS one is and excellent build......how are you comparing them if the tumbler hasn't even been released yet?

Probably assuming through the thorough review mentioned previously.
I can't wait to get my grubby little paws on the set.

That was my thought. lol. I have build the other. Its amazing looking, but the build was tedious honestly. I think the Tumbler looks better in the pictures, though I like the vehicle better anyway.

But we all know a lot of stuff looks great in pictures. Case and Point : Fast Food Burgers.

Funny you mention that because I came across something where a guy goes around to various fast food chains to see if they can make the food look like what is shown on the menu or commercials. Plenty of the comments on YouTube left below it are humorous too. There is a point where we can't really expect something to look precisely as good as it does in the ad but you should end up with something that actually does resemble in some way what you paid for.

I actually studied some of this in High school.

Burgers are cooked for 30 seconds or so on high to juicy them up, then they cut out a triangle or so from the back and spread it out to make it look fuller.

No mashing of ingredients down.

So the answer is usually... no, they don't look the same. But you also don't get E-coli.

You just poop your colon out.

5 Star Movie. Maybe 6 Star.

I am probably driving to birmingham to grab this one on the first.

Seeing the Brickshow video review of The Tumbler was a bit of a disillusion for me, I mean, investment-wise I really WANT to love this set. In theory it has everything a winner needs - and it will surely be a winner in the end. But what I do not like about it: It is a 200 bucks set which has virtually no functions - which would have been OK, if it was a little bigger after all. There have been big, expensive UCS Star Wars Sets that also had no functions but at least they had an impressive size (say SSD) - or they were "only" bigger than normal BUT then also had playability. But The Tumbler lacks some in both fields and I can imagine people seeing it built thinking: "Man, in fact it looks really cool... while... I cannot do anything with this but look at it - and it is nothing near the size of those large Star Wats UCS models - so, was this really worth TWOHUNDRED $$$?".

What I ask myself right now: Wouldn't it have been much, much cooler to have a FULLY FUNCTIONAL REMOTE-CONTROLLED TECHNIC TUMBLER? And be it for 300 bucks? TECHNIC really is not that unpopular anymore (see LE Crawler), so what kept LEGO from doing a TECHNIC Tumbler? A TECHNIC model having a nice suspension, bouncing over obstacles and jumping ramps like in the movie - wouldn't this have been a better idea? I mean, for me it is much more fun to see the Tumbler DRIVE rather than just put in in parking mode! Who would leave a "car" like this in the garage and watch TV instead of smashing around with the beast outside?
