Neat, I didn't know BL had the part out value!

Is there any way to add all parts to your store after you look up a particular set? Or do you have to manually add it in piece by piece?

let's use 10220 as an example of all parts you want to add to your bricklink store.

go to http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?S=10220-1

then click "Part Out" under the Lots for Sale section ( http://www.bricklink.com/invSet.asp?itemType=S&itemNo=10220-1 ).

follow the steps (you can use see "avg sold price by last 6 months" here. pretty cool feature)

If you're trying to add a complete set to BL, just select "part out a set" from the sell page.

Thanks a lot.  I was trying to do a similar task where setting up pricing without having to look it up separately.   The avg sold by last 6 months option is exactly what I was looking for.

I did this and the first link that answered my question directed me back to this forum and this topic. The idea of a forum is to get advice from people who have done something before. I could understand that reply if I asked what the current value of the Death Star.

I love doing that to people at work - but yeah in this case I agree it was a legitimate question. bricklink is really hard to navigate sometimes.

What is this "sometimes" you speak of?! ;)

Bricklink's interface is basically going back to the days when we had to send email by chiseling out our messages onto rocks and then throwing the rocks through our computer screens.

It has some fantastic options and very good functionality all things considered, but it's about as far from "user friendly" as it's possible for any currently operating website to be.

It really makes me wonder what the LEGO parts market COULD look like - and sometime we'll probably find out, when BL 3.0 is launched some year and/or Bricklinkers get tired enough of waiting that they move to Brickowl instead.
