June 5, 201510 yr You might notice some little flags showing up in the profile area of your post. A lot of people liked this feature from the prior forum version and working on getting it back in again. It helps with discussion knowing that members may be international or local to you. It will be able to grab that info upon login or registration so the next time you login and the forum cache clears, you should start seeing the flag under your name. (Otherside of the mouth, bout bloody time ????????????) Btw smileys done on the mobile version are coming out as question marks for me.
June 5, 201510 yr I had a problem linking to an individual post today. If I try to link to this post here, the URL goes in correctly as this: http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/402-what-lego-set-did-you-buy-today/?do=findComment&comment=464971However, if you look at what actually gets parsed to the "here" link, it's this: http://community.brickpicker.com/topic/402-what-lego-set-did-you-buy-today/?do=findComment&comment=464971The amp; is coming through, and screwing things up. June 8, 201510 yr Something small I noticed: the "posts" widget on the right that is supposed to show the topics with the latest activity is sometimes missing threads, even though there have been recent posts. One example is the Daily Deals thread that has been posted to only minutes ago, but it does not show up at all in that list (I am logged in). Could this be an issue that the list isn't updated fast enough? Is anybody else noticing this? It's whole threads disappearing from the widget from time to time.

Is it taking that info from my current location (via IP address)? If so, that could easily be all over the place and wrong. :-)
June 8, 201510 yr Very excited to have the mobile app functioning again. It was actually hard for me to check in without it!
June 20, 201510 yr has any one else noticed post posting out of order. I've only noticed it happening a few time and it may be just my pos computer. the blue/ grey thread was the last one I noticed .
June 20, 201510 yr has any one else noticed post posting out of order. I've only noticed it happening a few time and it may be just my pos computer. the blue/ grey thread was the last one I noticed . I thought that, but then realized it was a question thread wig up/down votes. So they are displaying based on rank. I am noticing that we don't seem to be getting the old multiple post issue that we used to get with the older version of the mobile apps.
June 20, 201510 yr Ahhh thanks. now that someone pointed it out, it has been a bit sense I've seen a triple post. Kinda miss them now
July 1, 201510 yr Testing...It looks like my signature got messed up posting with IE. Trying Chrome this time to see how it looks like...Result: hmmm... looks like some scripts got messed up? Edited July 1, 201510 yr by cissi
July 13, 201510 yr In the old version of the forum, it would remember the last post you read, so when you revisited a thread you would be right where you left off. This isn't working on the new version for me. is there a setting for this? Now that the daily deals will be one super thread, I think this will be more frustrating. Also, every page load in community takes at least 15 seconds. Any way to speed that up? It appears to be web only, the mobile app doesn't have the delayed page loads. Thanks!

It works on many occasions, just not all, I have had an open ticket with them since the release. I am not sure where it is with them right now. Also, every page load in community takes at least 15 seconds. Any way to speed that up? It appears to be web only, the mobile app doesn't have the delayed page loads. Not sure what browser you are using. Chrome is very fast, Safaris is good. IE is even good. Firefox for me is even slow. I even posted this on the forum's forum about certain load times, especially in Firefox and most people came back telling me it was quite quick. Not sure if its an OSX thing, or anything else.Sorry about the down time, I tried doing a quick update to their latest version which is supposed to have bug fixes, performance fixes, etc. I was hoping that it would help with the above issues. Sadly, I was one of the few that ran into an issue when upgrading and had to wait for a quick patch.

I am not sure where it is with them right now. For me it works fine as long as I go to the thread via stars/circles on "New Content" page. On the other hand, I have 50/50 chance when accessing via the widgets (on the right of main page or bottom of threads). I believe this behavior is easier to demonstrate on larger (20+ pages) threads. The old app used to always take you to the last message you read even though the "Recent Posts" section always shows the very last one. I.e. if I haven't read the last 5 posts, the "Recent Posts" only shows the very last one but when I touch it, it brings me to the first post I haven't read instead of the last. Not sure what browser you are using. If you open multiple thread "tabs" from the "new content" view, only the first one is very slow to load. The others load very fast. It also seems to be geographic in nature - i.e. depending on what kind of hops your browser makes through the internet to read the forum, the first one is getting delayed for some reason.

July 13, 201510 yr I too experience a 15-25s delay when loading a page regardless of ISP. I just profiled it and the delay is in TTFB. This is typically a server issue and would have to be addressed by the host. It can also be caused by inefficient queries and such.

Doh! Somehow I never moused over the circles/stars before. Well that's better! Now if the mobile app would do the same... Also, I tried Chrome and I'm still getting 15-second page loads. Seems like a server issue. If you add a page load time widget at the bottom of the page I can send some screen shots.

What happens if you go to New Content and open all the threads in new tabs? Does the first one pause and then all the others open right away? I can't find the reference I was reading the other day, but it was a very good explanation of a potential cause.. dang.
July 14, 201510 yr If it's a server issue why does it load super fast for me on different isps and pingdom tests come back in under 3 seconds. I don't think I have ever seen 15 seconds. Perhaps do a trace route to the server

Perhaps do a trace route to the server I have the same problem with PC Firefox. If I open multiple tabs which is the first tab opened, always loads after all the other tabs have opened. I also have the slow initial connection to the Forum main page. I will try to record it an share it to give you specifics.
July 14, 201510 yr The loading up the forum slowness still affects me even after just getting a couple of upgrades that really sped up my internet service download & upload speeds (about 4x faster I think than what I had for the past few years). Majority of sites such as YouTube, Brickset, even image heavy Flickr, load up very quickly yet still BrickPicker's forum and pages within take awhile to load (more than 15 seconds often, I've counted slowly) and sometimes I need to click a topic link twice before the page starts moving. (This with only one browser window open too.)
July 14, 201510 yr I submitted a new ticket to support to see if they have anything to tell me. Here were some tools I ran on the home page to see how it did.
July 14, 201510 yr Don't give me feedback on the home page loading, but please let me know if your regular page/topic/thread browsing is any better now.
July 14, 201510 yr I was having the same issues as the others, waiting for a while for the page to load, and now they pages load normally, like they used to before the forum update.
