Admins: anyway we can remove the frame from the posted pics? it may interfere with the barcodes when being scanned. old forum did not insert the frame around the pics. i dont see the option to do advanced editing and remove it myself via code either

Hey Jeff.. did something happen with timestamps on older posts? All of a sudden the "New Content" for today is showing 15 pages of old threads? At first I thought holy s, is nobody working today then realized they were all very old threads even though it was saying last post 2 hours ago.

Anyone besides me having spell check issues? I have latest Firefox (was brand new install on brand new computer last week so I haven't had time to screw it up yet I don't think). In the text editor I get the red squiggly lines on mispelled words, but the only option in the context menu in the text editor are copy, cut and paste.

I'm seeing that too with Chrome. The text editor must have its own right-click menu which is preventing the browser's standard right-click menu from working. I haven't researched if there is a workaround or not. I just keep typing the word a few different ways until the spelling sticks and the red squiggly lines go away. Worst case, I use google in a new tab to help. My spelling is terrible so I will be happy if there is a way to get this fixed at some point.

Any chance of reinstating the flags under people's names so we can easily see where people are from. It was a handy feature to have, especially when people were talking about prices.

I can still see the location on some profiles.

​Guys, did you just come to this forum and post without reading? No offense intended but almost every day a user comes and posts about the mobile app or the mobile version of the forum not working great and the answer was just 3 posts earlier in this very thread.

I know this particular forum isn't going to make people money, but I sure wish people would read it. It's almost as tiring as hearing about Pet Shop or Red 5 and their imminent retirements.

+1 - I really miss the country flag feature as I have no idea of the context for the comment as it is very different interpretation depending of which country, not only on prices, but set availability and retirement discussion.

At the place where it used to be we now have a 'list of most recent posts' which is not quite the same thing. Anyway - clicking on a topic in the 'new content' doesn't bring me to the oldest unread post in that topic, but usually the most recent. I really hate always having to scroll back to see where I left off reading. Is there any way to get the forum to go to the oldest unread post in a topic?

​What happens if you click the "star" or "big dot"? That should be what you're looking for.

​Like I said... I wasn't trying to offend anyone, but I think that the mobile app issues have been asked at least a dozen times and forums not working well on iPads and iPhones and other mobile devices have been asked double that. But if you need a personal answer, the issue you are having is likely related to large images in thread posts. Its happening all over the place (to me as well). When a thread page has no images, it works fine. When a post on the page has an image (and the bigger they are the worse it seems) it'll just load a bit, error out, and continue until eventually Safari fails to load. Jeff and the forum developer are aware. I believe Jeff said he is expecting a forum update in the near future, hopefully that will address some of these issues. I hope that helps.

​I am not sure how the light gray border can interfere with the barcode?  If you are on mobile, you can probably hold down on the image and save it to your gallery.  There you won't have any border.  Or if you are on a computer browser, right-click and open the image in a new tab.  Then the image will be by itself.

​Did you try filtering on "Topic" instead of "All Contents".  I believe those are older blog posts that have been reindexed

We are working on a lot of the previous plugins to make it work here.  In the last 30 minutes, we just added a new working version of the Recent Posts homepage widget.  You will see that it no longer includes more than one post from the same topic, it works exactly as the previous version did.  You will also see at the bottom of each page (forums/threads), that there is the "Latest and Greatest" widget that will show you the Latest Posts, Topics, Hottest Topics, and Latest Blogs.  We are getting rid of the Wordpress section of this site and it will be integrated back into this area.  It will get more visibility this way, more comments and it is one less system to worry about.

We will get to the country plugin very soon.

Seapotato, yes, the app is broken for the time being, it's being updated by the dev team.

 

The quick links at the bottom are pretty sweet, and appeared to be working exactly as intended on the day they were installed....However, now it is doing some really funky formatting, such that only 4 characters are shown per line, chopping thread titles up into near gibberish.... Probably already known, but I don't see any comments about it. For example I'm seeing under Latest Topics:

.....etc. title headers "Latest Topics" is formatted fine, but the rest are showing in broken lists like that.

Oops, forgot to add, this issue is on mobile platforms with vertical orientation. Works fine when rotated horizontally still.
