LEGO Ideas - Neuschwanstein Castle

Featured Replies

I saw this posted on the LEGO Ideas page and thought that this would be a fantastic set!  Hopefully it gets the 10,000 supporters and becomes an official LEGO set.

The guy who came up with it posted on Eurobricks, which includes an actual built version and it looks even better!

I would buy this the instant it became available!  I love that it has so many pieces (4304) because it really needs to in order to accurately portray the castle.

That looks great! A mini-scale version would definitely be possible for Lego. Would be a big hit if they did it right. Kudos the individual who made the project, they did an excellent job!

I just bought the Nanoblock version of this castle, both the big and small version. They look like fun builds. Had to put them in boxes bc they were tempting me to build. I'm assuming one could create a Lego version using Lego bricks that translate to the corresponding Nanoblock.

Awesome job on that model but the piece count, as it stands, would make me wary of it proceeding to the next step...

This could be a huge seller for Lego if they could get it under the $400 threshold (which is possible at 4,000 pieces).  So much better looking than the Sydney Opera House.  It's big, but not so big that one can fit it on a large shelf.

I would so buy this set. I always see the Nanoblock version right next to the architecture sets at B&****** and more than once thought: "If only Lego could do a version of that."

If it wouldn't get produced this large, I would be willing to buy the instructions/parts list in order to reproduce the MOC.  Does anyone know if that is a possibility?
