what does any one think of the price point being 24.99? when compared to 6862 you get an extra minifig but it looks like less pieces for a 5 buck increase. 

I'll be buying this.  Not at RRP, though.  I'm sure it'll get a 20% off somewhere.

 

I love the Supergirl minifig.  And I really dig Brainiac's ship.  It would look great in a Halloween Town.

I love the Superheroes theme, and I'm looking forward to seeing what the Marvel releases for 2015 will be considering the new Avengers movie, fantastic 4 movie and Helicarrier UCS set. Until that time comes, I figured it would be fun to speculate and fantasize about what will come.

 

Here's my thoughts...

There will be 5 play sets in addition to the UCS set that will come out with a tie in to the new Marvel movies. These sets will replace the 2013 Spiderman and Iron Man sets.

 

Set 1 - $79-99-$99

Sokovian Battle Scene. Features some ruined buildings, a vehicle, and Red Witch, Quick Silver, Thor, Iron Man, Hawkeye and Vision, Loki

 

Set 2 - $49-79

Helicarrier Bridge Set. An updated, and improved version of the Hellicarrier Breakout set. Includes Tony Stark, Black Widow,  Ultron, Maria Hill, and Nick Fury.

 

Set 3 - $39-79

Fantastic 4 Vehicle with Thing, Invisible Girl, Human Torch, and some extra minifig 

 

Set 4 - $19-29

Hulk vs Ultron featuring an Ultron Mech and Hulk maxifigure.

 

Set 5 - $12.99

Mr Fantastic vs Dr. Doom

 

Would love to see what others come up with.

You have a point, I was trying to fit in the various price ranges when they make a release and account for the characters. 

Now that I think of it, I doubt they would have 2 sets in production with a hulk maxifigure. But an Ultron Mech in that price range could be a possibility.

Why speculate and guess? The sets are posted on Eurobricks already.

The way the FF is being treated at Marvel because of crappy movie deals they made when they were broke and a movie coming out this year that is ignoring canon I doubt we'll see any sets for them.

That was my first thought as well. Set size is very close at 722 vs 735. So glad I dumped all mine when The Winter Soldier came out.

Probably not a bad time to move some Quinjets if you're sitting on a few.

We'll know more once we get to see some pics. C'mon Internet!

The helicarrier is still a rumor based on some supposed black ops work dissecting a Lego designer video.... So who knows? It would be bad ass though.

Scarlet Witch/Vision/Quicksilver are only in 1 set each. Hulkbuster looks to be the coolest of them. Avengers Tower will be a must have. The quintet looks to be about the same size as the old one or slightly smaller.
