Ideas for a Halloween Town & MOCs

The season of scaring is not for another few months but I figure we could pool some ideas together on what would be cool to feature in a custom Halloween Town in the meantime and even continue afterwards for years to come. I think we all know the Monster Fighters sets are a given for this epic diorama so what I am really shooting for is more about unique build ideas or special scene setups over 'straight-from-the-box' designs. I should give gratitude to Alpinemaps for the inspiration from conversation in the "What did you build today?" thread.

Alright here's an idea to start. Each Escape from Mirkwood Spiders set includes two of those spider sacks and a tree to hang them from. Now my idea is to have a generic Lego skeleton figure in one of those while the other has a skull head with some bone pieces.

I'm more of a fan of the first pic. It looks more like the original set and having the tower off center makes it not so symmetrical.

Make almost everything look like a monster or a face like windows and doors.

Escape from Mirkwood Spiders is on clearance at Walmart.  I picked up another set yesterday.  It's just a cool little set with a couple of fall trees (red leaves), and two big, ugly spiders.

I am going to display some Galidor, Ben10 and a handful Chinese bootlegs.  Those are genuinely horrifying.

Mainly mods to the Haunted House, Haunted Mansion, and Ferris Wheel but I do like the blacklight/glowing effects for this little area.

Still not sure how I feel about the use of the pantomime head for Brides of Dracula ^.^ but sure a fun idea!

just picked up one of these hobgoblin

is that an official figure?

probably should have mention that it is a custom.  not a knock off brand but a well done custom print job on lego pieces by poppunkmunky
