15th Anniversary of Lego Star Wars

Featured Replies

I'm surprised LEGO didn't do more with May the Fourth and Revenge of the Fifth this year. Disappointing. I wanted my Chrome C3P0!! Ah, well. Here's to another healthy 15 years of Star Wars!!

Looking back.....the 1999 sets were pretty bad! Lego star wars has come a long way in 15 years.

Haha, those old sets do look pretty terrible! That first MF is so weird. I'm still a sucker for picking up a sealed set from that first run here or there though.

Some of those original sets aren't going to win any beauty contests especially by today's standards but the very first Landspeeder (7110) has a special place for me since it was the first ever Star Wars Lego set I bought and built.

Agreed. I was building X-wings before lego star wars was conceived and I was so happy to see them come out. One of the only star wars sets I got before going into my dark ages was the first landspeeder. it's a classic and holds a special place in my heart.
