I thought it might be fun to have a place to share pictures of the terrible ways we receive our sets (sarcastic thread title), whether it's pancaked sets, oversized boxes, etc.

 

I'll start with my SSDs that arrived a couple days ago:

Three sets inside, with no packaging material. Third set is underneath the top two, and was crushed with all 4 seals popped:

 

 

 

This box came to me today. What could be inside? A couple Death Stars? 60 Minecraft sets?

 

 

 

Nope, just one HH and about a kilometer of air pouches:

 

At least they actually padded this one, and I'll have enough pouches to last a while lol. But of course the set just had to have a hole on the back side...more returning to do.

Frustration.

Yes, they are rubber bands holding the box together.   Full of frustration.  This should have been 3 Castle's and I only rx'd one and the order only shows 1 tracking #.

 

Oof. May have done better with a label slapped on the box.

I don't think so but I am not sure what they came from

From Lego repacked by FedEx. Never a good sign. The Tantive in the box had been opened and 4 bags plus the instructions are missing. I emailed Lego. We shall see what happens.

This one came from Target, clearly damaged from before it was even thrown in the shipping box with the rest. Seems to be complete so may keep it anyway... or at least until it comes back in stock

Instead of the slave 1 from target that I ordered, I got a box of baby wipes...😠

It's never a good sign when the package is smaller than what you ordered...

At first I was upset that Best Buy would ship an item to me in this condition (listed as new) but then I saw it was inspected by RDC725 and the product was verified as "good".  Thanks Len Howell!

Len is good people, served with him in demolitions back in 'Nam.  They always let him pick first...you should have seen the other ones.

When we were young, punk kids, Len and I both worked for the same travelling carnival.  I ran the merry-Go-Round and he ran the Ferris Wheel.  But we really didn't know each other.  We moved in different circles.

Not sure who Len is; clearly that reads Will.  Will’s motto: you can pick your friends and you can pick your nose but you have to pick the most trashed LEGO box first...

So I received a star wars droid commander in a box too small for it and the stress caused the actual box to split. The twist is it's not even the set I ordered, it's supposed to be the new mindstorms.

Yep. Stopped doing Target pickups as they do something similar to me every time. 

I would have provided some in person feedback.

Lol, I know, I was thinking the same thing when I uploaded that pic.
