I thought it might be fun to have a place to share pictures of the terrible ways we receive our sets (sarcastic thread title), whether it's pancaked sets, oversized boxes, etc.

I'll start with my SSDs that arrived a couple days ago:

Enormous box:

Three sets inside, with no packaging material. Third set is underneath the top two, and was crushed with all 4 seals popped:

This box came to me today. What could be inside? A couple Death Stars? 60 Minecraft sets?

Nope, just one HH and about a kilometer of air pouches:

At least they actually padded this one, and I'll have enough pouches to last a while lol. But of course the set just had to have a hole on the back side...more returning to do.

Curious to see others' photos :)

I assume you have reported this reply to EBay and the police?

This is great. Thanks for sharing. Wonder if the FBI reads the EBay TOS?

Thanks for the Friday chuckle. Love the whole, "I don't know how you screwed me over..." bit! Internet gold from the start of the message!

Man, that’s the best thing I’ve seen all week. Thank you!

Hilarious, truly awesome entertainment there. What a scrub. :D

Random shipping question.  Is it okay to use clear packing tape over the tracking barcode?  I usually leave it uncovered but I accidentally covered most of the barcode when I attached my printed return label to the box.  Item was relatively expensive and I think ebay needs proof that the package was delivered via the tracking number to get a refund.

I usually cover my barcodes to protect them in case of water damage or whatever and they scan.

You'll be fine. I've done it on FedEx and USPS labels and it arrived on time.

Not sure if the guy’s a budding comedian or just that stupid.

I wouldn't be at all surprised if that email ends his account. FBI daddy or no. LOL.

I'm probably going to start using "My dad works for the FBI" in all my online correspondence. It's pure gold.

I think it's worthy of its own acronym.... MDWFTFBI

Don't forget to leave negative feedback.

The saga of the smashed Slave 1 will go down in history as the best SNAD case ever.

Wow. Great stuff. Now if you only shared his ebay id we could have so much fun with him.

Shouldn´t be too hard to figure out who it is - there can´t be that many people on Ebay selling Lego AND used dildos.

Edited by Val-E

And I'm starting to think too many people think this stuff is worth more than gold... but without the understanding of how to pack it. Wrapped it in black plastic and slapped a label on it.

I'm also positive that my post office must be full of rabid hyenas. Found this on my doorstep yesterday.

Thankfully the seller refunded immediately and asked for a few more pictures as he purchased postal insurance.

Wow, that's actually pretty cool what USPS did. So how does it work now? Do you also get to keep the lego? If that's the case, YAY!
