So many unnecessary IP based Ideas sets. They need to rethink the theme.

It’s become the way they launch single theme sets. Really a great example of LEGO needing to shrink the amount of sets they launch.

I don't see any appeal in that winning set that they'll end up making.  When I heard that the winning creation on the show would become an official set, I thought for certain that they would make the last challenge have some sort of classic theme: build a castle, or a spaceship, or some huge modular.  But this plane thing that won is just godawful as a mass-produced set.  It's far too personal to the builders, and while I can understand the creativity and the reason that it could win a competition like this, I have no interest in owning it whatsoever, and I sincerely doubt that I'll be alone in that.  I thought this was a great idea by Lego (the winning creation becoming a set), but it could not have gone worse for them.  This thing will be on perma-sale.

That said, I hope they do this again with the next season, but put a lot more thought into the parameters of the championship challenge.

I bet it's a VIP set that is ~300 pieces, similar to wonders of the world. There will just be a plane that acts as the base for more world landmarks.  I was actively rooting against these guys, but they were the only team that really built to the brief.

They were actually one of the best teams at listening to the feedback from the Masters. The best teams in the show were from Season 1 and 2 though. Plenty of competitors would have won the past 2 seasons more easily.

Don’t know who they are but this set won a fan vote contest outside of the usual IDEAS realm and will be a Target exclusive.

In conjunction with approving this submission, we're excited that we'll be able to include a variety of fun Minifigures in this upcoming LEGO Ideas set. As a result, we'll be designing a few new Minifigures that will be included. BUT we will need your help to determine aspects of two of them. In the coming weeks, we'll therefore launch 2 separate fan votes where you'll get to vote for:

1) a new Classic Spaceman colour !!!

2) a new Castle faction emblem

We'll provide options for both categories and kick off the fan votes as soon as we're ready to go.

That gumball machine is so rad. You guys remember those machines in the grocery stores back in the day? This time we ain't getting slime or those cheap plastic spiders though lol. This thing rewards with minifigures! Tough choice between the Castle and Space fig, but my choice is pretty obvious.

The licensed football helmets were my favorite.

I went for those stretchy hands that would stick to everything especially glass of which they had a tendency to leave the weirdest of marks across the surface. Even when the "stickiness" subsided over time, they still made a nice resounding thwack. Haha.

I am trying to think of a colour Lego has not made a Classic Spaceman in. Perhaps one of the azures or nougat? More Classic Space is always appreciated, and a new Castle coat of arms will be interesting.
