October 6, 20169 yr Today is LEGO Ideas results day. At 7 AM Pacific / 10 AM Eastern (about 15 minutes from now), we should have the video up of the results. I will update this main post later this morning with the video and results.Looks like it's here!!!
October 6, 20169 yr Is it just me or that old fishing store goes very well with Metalbeard's Sea Cow??? Kind of like the place where Metalbeard would go to relax after a long day smashing Lord Business's bots
October 6, 20169 yr I think this is a really nice set and about time we get one that has a broader appeal............
October 6, 20169 yr So this is the first Lego Ideas building right (aside from the GBHQ)? I don't know why people even bother sending in Star Wars stuff. It's pretty obvious that they are never going to pick those sets.
October 6, 20169 yr That was a great video, thanks for posting it. My favorite actually was the fishing store and I will be buying one (or a lot). Out of the next batch, I like the Addams Family Mansion but, this means that I may have to hold on to my Haunted Houses until then. I also think that submitting Star Wars sets is futile as I'm sure that LEGO's designers have this theme well covered.
October 6, 20169 yr The Fishing Store was my favorite. Unfortunately this choice might have a negative impact on The Merchant's House which is up for approval in the next review. IMHO, The Merchant's House is a beautiful set I would love to build.
October 6, 20169 yr I dig the observatory. I hope that one gets made, as it would make a great piece in a modular city, although it's rather out of place in a modular city setup, since you need a dark sky, and in most downtown areas you rarely see the milky way. Either way, it's a nice looking design. Edited October 6, 20169 yr by fossilrock
October 6, 20169 yr Very nice set. Hope they do it justice by not shrinking it or skimping on the tiles. 1 minute ago, fossilrock said: I dig the observatory. October 6, 20169 yr Love the Fishing store, reminds me of a structure from the Popeye Film from the 1980's
October 6, 20169 yr It will be interesting to see how TLG changes the Old Fishing Store. At 2,160 pieces the OFS is 4 1/2 times larger than the average IDEAS set (~480 pieces). I hope they don't change it at all, bc it is a fantastic model as are other designs by RobenAnne.
October 6, 20169 yr That's a nice set, and it's nice to see that it's larger than usual, I was worried the ideas sets would always be small. Disappointed for the particle accelerator though.
