  • When we hit January 1, I'll restart this thread with those "rules" in place.  And we'll keep it clean so it's just the set and the retirement date (and the region), along with a screenshot.  Otherwise

  • Yes, I’ll remove your post.

  • US shop at home showing a lot of retired updates.

I don’t understand the difference between Sold-out and Retired ?

It appears as Retired on French store but Sold-Out on US store.

Often the two markets aren't exactly in sync. Some products have quite a large variation (several months of availability) while some move from sold out to retired at pretty much the same time. I don't know if anyone understands the exact reasons why. I don't even know if the head of TLG knows everything about every set.

North America and Europe operate on completely different warehouses and selling cycles. This affects a number of things such as stock levels, dates that promotions occur, and product retirement dates. In this case, the 75055 has officially retired in Europe, and people are heavily speculating/hoping that the current Sold Out status on the US/Can website leads to the retirement in North America; finalizing the End of Life (EoL) term thrown around here so often.

Wasn't JW Raptor Escape "retired" in Europe? As in actually having the page say "retired"?

I don't think there is any credibility to "retired" status anymore, at least for Europe

From the other hand, RE does say retired in Europe again...

ISD 75055 and AT-AT 75054 are definitely retired in Australia now as well

That has got to be the shortest life span for a Lego product.

Maybe this is the new way.  As lego increases the amount of sets on a yearly basis, maybe there will be some rare sets and themes here and there.  I dont see that as a shock, to be honest.  Many other toy lines do similar things.

I think all of those will go this year.  We have 2xVIP day coming up, a black friday and cyber monday swarm, and a holiday season.  Those two sets won't be around much longer, I suspect.

AT-AT is now retired: http://shop.lego.com/en-CH/AT-AT-75054

Ultra Agents Ocean HQ was retired before it was even released in the EU. It doesn't go lower than 0 days in terms of "short life span".

In what Lego webshop did you see that? Just checked the Dutch (EU) LEGO Shop at Home and its available normally.

Ah you say that but it was available at Asda in the UK last week, it sold out in 24-48 hours but there's a chance more stock will filter through.
