Everyone was wondering about Luke, but did anyone see 3PO in the trailer?  Perhaps Captain Phasma is a droid with C-3PO's head under that silver helmet :D

He's in the movie, but maybe not hanging with R2 and Luke.  He's probably hanging out with the princess.  Wouldn't you be?

That's Gary, who made an appearance in pics with fans during her photo-ops at CVII.

in the 70's/ 80's yes today noooooooooooo

Isn't that Luke's hand touching R2 in the trailer ?

that is what I would assume.  though its hard to get much context out of it, particularly in the time line. Is it current time, or a flash back scene?  seems to blend with the scene of "Kylo's ship", but that could also just be editing.

I have seen her several times as guest on the old Craig Ferguson show (oh how I missed that guy).  That woman is funny and she has lost a lot of weight (good for her)

it's not really her looks it's more so she seems "out there" I follow her on Twitter and don't even understand half of the tweets she sends out

How many of us saw Star Wars in the theater in 1977?  I did.  (I was just shy of being 5 years old).

I feel like a little kid all over again.  Too much to process.  :)

I did! It was the summer of 1977 and I was 5 years old. My parents weren't going to let me see it, but we were visiting family and my older cousins were going to see it, so I got to go with them. That movie changed my life!

So if Finn is force sensetive, will he train as a jedi? is he Lando's son?

Or is Rey the real the jedi?

Who else thinks Han will die in this film?

Btw I don't know if I'm the only one here who's excited about this but how awesome is it that admiral ackbar will be in episode 7?!? Him being in that b-wing looking set with leia only solidifies that.

is he Lando's son :P I don't mean to be rude so please don't think that but that's pretty funny

Yay!  At least there are two of us that were 5 years old that summer.  :)

And my Dad insisted we go see it.  I can still remember getting my first 4 action figures (Luke, Ben, C3PO and R2), and playing with those around the house.

I rewatched the trailer this morning on my laptop (instead of watching it on the TV a couple times last night).  This time, I was alone when I watched it.  I may have shed a small tear.  I can't believe this is happening.

Edit to add:  2 favorite scenes from the trailer - the Falcon going to lightspeed - that's an angle for lightspeed we've never seen before.  And the dog fight (the scene that we see just after we see BB-8 in the X-Wing and Poe sitting in the cockpit).

I, too, hope the movie isn't about checking boxes, but I don't mind if they do it in the trailer.  Gotta build the hype, and they did it right for me.

If he's related to an OT character there are only a couple dudes that fit the bill.  I would go with Bespin's "Ice Cream Maker Guy" Willrow Hood:

Think about it.  Finn ends up with Luke's lightsaber that was lost in Bespin where this guy lived.  I'm connecting the dots JJ...
