It really hurts if when you walk over a few Lego bricks, but I can't imagine walking over a pile that big.

I'm not sure how super effective this will be against any burglars smart enough to wear shoes when they're out burgling.

I only walked on a couple of Lego pieces and that was accidental. I would never try to walk over a huge pile like that. It might hurt more, it might hurt less, but I'm not willing to find out anytime soon.
