  1. Lego could've saved themselves a lot of headache and controversy if they had just added one sticker and 12 or so black pieces for the plaque.
  2. I'm not sure it's people fussing about just a label, it's that they are fussing about not having a display plaque.
  3. Loving the build so far. I'm a Star Wars UCS geek and this is different for me. The last UCS X-wing was a joke, way too easy, the B-wing was a good build, just not a good ship. The Sea Cow actually is much more interesting and difficult than I expected.
  4. Comment on the picture above comparing it the Sea Cow box to the Simpsons. I saw the Simpsons set at the store today and I hate to say it but I was underwhelmed. It was smaller than I had imagined it was going to be for a good number piece count. I think the Sea Cow will look much more impressive since it will have vertical height. Just opened a beer, time to start building.
  5. I went to Tysons Corner mall and bought one today, the store was a madhouse. The lady at the counter said they had sold 6 boxes of TLM minifigs and that was by 12 noon. I'm looking forward to breaking the box open after the kids go to bed.
  6. I don't think the popularity of TLM will diminish so greatly that this set will be a flop for Lego. It may not be a great "flip" but it looks like a great build. I'm not one to buy and resell that much so to me this set looks fantastic. It's not designed to fit in with other ships and it really wouldn't look good next to the Imperial Flagship, but next to some other steampunk stuff like the plane from the Monster Fighter Train set, or some of the other TLM sets and it would look great.
  7. I couldn't believe I went to TRU this morning at 6 AM on my way to work to get a Perplexus and they had 3 cases of The Lego Movie minifigs. I didn't even know these were out. I was running late and didn't have time to feel them at all so I picked up just 2 for stocking stuffers and left happy.
  8. I'm not sure where your looking to see them selling for $150 over retail, at least not on ebay. The last 19 of 20 sold have been for $340 or less which isn't a big difference, but take out ebay and Paypal fees . . . and the profit from the set quickly diminishes. I'll definitely hold onto mine for a while longer. You can even get one on Amazon for less than $150 over retail with shipping.
  9. I bought one of these for myself and one to sell. The only thing that worries me is all the ones on ebay right now only have a couple of watchers. When only 2 or 4 people are following an auction, it does seem to prove that interest has fallen off, at least for now.
  10. I'm glad I just ordered that 2 days ago as a gift for a fraction of the price.
  11. I finally picked up the Star Wars 10019 Rebel Blockade Runner from ebay. I've been watching these for months and y'day I got it one that was complete (except for the plaque sticker which I never display anyway) in great condition with box and instructions for $335 / free shipping. This was just below my limit of what I was willing to spend and I've lost numerous auctions on this set so I was happy to finally get one. I look forward to building and displaying it. Also picked up the Winter Village Post Office, the last Winter set I needed.
  12. I was surprised to see for more than RRP at Amazon today, I happened to check it while looking at Lego's at Target to see what it was at.
  13. Many good reasons to stay far away from. I'm happy getting Jabba's Palace for $82 from Amazon today.
  14. I haven't purchased this but interested because aren't you protected by ebay if it is a scam? I eventually want one of these for my son, we don't have one yet.
  15. The entire Monster Fighters line is pictured in the TRU wishlist book for xmas. These will be around for a bit longer.
  16. I finally received my set today. Looking forward to watching the finally again and start putting this together.
  17. Kind of disappointed I still haven't received this. Got an email from Citizen Brick not to long ago about parts were held up in customs and had no ETA for them, maybe another 2 weeks, but no real idea. Also said they'd be giving a unique coupon code for 15% off next order due to the delay. Hopefully they do the camper or something with a nice piece count to make that 15% off coupon actually worth something.
  18. My Sams Club had about 1/3 the amount of Xmas toys as my Costco. I've never seen Lego there either, not even the books.
  19. I saw this at Costco today and just wasn't impressed by how it looked from the packaging. I was surprised to see an entire pallet of Lego Chima 70009 Worriz Combat Lair's for $54.99
  20. Now this looks like a nice modular set. The last 2 just haven't done it for me. The cinema is an easy no because it looks like it's out of the 80's and the Town Hall just seems way too big and doesn't fit in with the others IMO. TH's don't sit in a row of buildings, they sit off by themselves. This restaurant though will fit perfect next to the GG, GE, PS, and CC. Lots of good looking details, can't wait to see this, hopefully it will be available for Xmas for VIP's.
  21. Wow, $560! Only 1 bid but still. I just want to get mine to build. http://www.ebay.com/itm/161115032995#ht_381wt_1399
  22. That's no Transformer I've ever seen or remember from when I was a kid. Must be something newer. Transformers from the 80's were the best.
  23. Fingers crossed for getting this in the next week before the finally.
  24. I'm looking into maybe purchasing one of these. One is UCS, the other looks more like a play set. Does anyone here have input as to which set is a better, more difficult, fun build? I'm also interested in the 10195 Dropship but I've seen a few reviews say it's fragile and breaks easy so the Tantive may be my next purchase.
  25. LOL,never said favorite. Just for completeness. She would be the attractive minifig of the set.
