I know this goes in the "things I heard from a lego customer service rep" thread etc. However, I have been told by the reps from Lego customer service that the sandcrawler will continue through until the Winter at the end of 2016. I could be flamed for this... I can imagine the amount of information people have been told by lego employees that just turn out to be utter crap. However, I am under the impression that this one will be with us for a bit longer than anticipated. EDIT: Having googled 'Winter months' like a noob, I think that winter (December, January, February) could mean that it is in the process of being phased out now).... Thanks guys!

Not sure if this helps (hope it does..) - I just went an purchased one of these at retail (£200) at my local official LEGO store and the guy was really friendly. He told me that in the last delivery (Thursday 24th March) they got a few more Sandcrawlers but no more Ewok Villages.

Sound advice. I frequent a number of forums and am well aware of the issue of coming across as an annoying noob. I've spent a lot of time researching and browsing, but I just feel that the EV is imminent and that the SC is next. I keep seeing it go out of stock online (amazon etc) and am thinking that it's maybe only got a few weeks left! I was wondering also if anyone else had seen it drop out of stock there. eBay sellers are already marking it up, well above what it's worth. Thanks for your advice.

Is there any more information as to when this set will retire? I will check in my local store tomorrow (Brighton UK). I have two of these. On eBay they seem to already be going for more than the £250 RRP. I bought one for £250 and the other for £225 (using my double VIP points from the first one). Also, the valuation on the Brickpicker Brickfolio lists them as very low at the moment. Perhaps my account is basing the values on US prices??? What do you guys think these will go for on eBay in a year or two?

Any opinions on whether this set will appreciate in value past its current £450 mark? I'm hoping that in two years it will be worth a fair bit more. Even considering buying another at the current going rate on eBay to have in case it goes the same way as the other UCS sets.

Is this set on the way out now? It's still in stock on the LEGO SOH sites but they indicated to me in my local store that it is the next to go and possibly retiring as we speak. eBay prices for it aren't that high. Should I go and grab two of them for £400? Is it a worthy investment. Looking to flip it in a year and make 50 per cent markup hopefully!
