  1. the thread might be dead but while my Lego sales are slowing down I have learned more and more about cryptocurrencies and found they take less space... they are way more volatile but for now they will do for me 🙂 wondering if @Legojona would not mind chiming in with his view of the crypto markets
  2. Doing the dance?
  3. nice profit for me on these two but felt a bit sad to see the Clone Turbo Tank go (my only unit and honestly I was running out of space):
  4. recently on eBay, started to use faster more expensive shipping (on me) buy buyers still complained about slow shipping... I guess I will go back to the cheaper slower shipping...
  5. The column header says eBay but this was BrickLink and I got paid straight to my IBAN
  6. two Sanctuaries and one Marketplace:
  7. Call to check yesterday in Europe, I called and got one unit assigned but I had my card maxed out and had to remove it from the order (left a couple of retiring SW sets insted). Today it moved to sold out and there was no way to get it over the phone. Big mistake, lesson learned.
  8. had a work/company gift card to burn on amazon.fr so I have just ordered the Porsche (we'll see if it will ship... if not I will not complain since I have already gotten my own unit at amazon.it on November 22nd at EUR 170)
  9. ccc alert: Porsche 911 GT3 RS - 42056 at 174,99€ at amazon.fr if you are Prime member (or if not you can try it for free for 30 days) you can get the price mentioned above ... not sure where to put it... figured I would put it in the Spain section since France is Southern Europe
  10. Not today but check your emails as you might get this:
  11. few Elves set (still have a couple more Sactuaries and a bunch of Secret Marketplace I plan to sell in the next 12 months)
  12. 2x 41078 Skyra's Mysterious Sky Castle at 50 euros each
  13. Not sure if I have missed anybody mentioning it before... Just in case it was not mentioned ebay has a 15% off coupon which I have used with 10% off SamsungPay ebay gift cards.
  14. right, replacing Swift seems a bold statement, cohexist... maybe
  15. Ebay gift cards at 10% off on SamsungPay. If it goes like last year threre could be brief widows at 15% if not even at 20% off.
  16. here is 2013 and 2014 (highest December 4th 2013 at 1100 (vs USD): then see the similarities in 2018 (compared with 2014 above): then this point in time in November 2014: then the lowest point at that time was mid January 2015: finally a summary how it went in 2015: if history will repeat then we would be watching a constant fall all the way to mid March, at which point you'd buy in only to sell at 50% gain rinse and repeat: buy in before Summer holidays (for the Northern Hemisphere) and sell at 50% ish gain mid July (with an auto sell feature I guess) come back from holidays and buy in at the low point and enjoy the year end growth but... will history repeat?
  17. not ebay but bricklink selling older used set from the early 80ies (EUR 140ish), pieces counted twice by my brother and our friend (they literally mounted the set twice, we have a common store) and placed into a sealed box until a valued customer bought it shipped quickly from Italy to Italy and buyer comes back with very nasty and aggressive emails mentioning a number of missing pieces and two damaged pieces we check our inventory and we separate everything offering to ship the missing pieces at our cost buyer keeps sending aggressive emails and pretend expensive fastest shipping and also a transfer of EUR 20 to reimburse him for damage we would not accept that and we feel that eventually he would end up giving us negative feedback background: the 3 of us bought many used sets in the last 3 years and 50% of the time if not more there were missing pieces, often we would replace them with pieces from our own inventory, if not we would kindly contact the seller / in few occasions seller did not bother to answer (couple times on ebay) / most of the time seller would answer quickly and offer to either send missing pieces, reimburse for the value of the missing pieces or provide store credit
  18. I like them both, for building. I do nol like big boxes for investment anymore. If you read the forum you will make up your mind. Read a lot and make your own decision. In my opinion the benchmark discount in Italy has been Toys Center 25% discount in October and post Xmas online at varius stores also at 25%. EUR 127 for DO or BB is not the best I have seen.
  19. (not today, last Thursday, Sep 27th) Scooby-doo The Mystery Machine 75902 at (BRL 440 - fees and shipping = BRL 391) approximately USD 99, paid USD 27.99 in November 2016. Am I calculating the CAGR correctly?
  20. TLM bad cop and wyldstyle at (BRL 95, net after fees BRL75) approximately EUR 16 after fees and shipping (local ebay), paid USD 0.99 in January 2017. Some additional used sets on bricklink. Have good felling about this quarter.
  21. ourselves open speculations... you could agree on some but TLG will do as they please here the ones I could agree on that short list of 7 "d2c"... more than 7 will retire... 75144 - Snowspeeder 10247 - Ferris Wheel 10242 - Mini Cooper 21313 - Ship in the bottle 21310 - Old fishing store 75827 - GB Firehouse HQ I might not agree on the following but I cannot say that it would be impossible... 75159 - Death Star we are getting closer to year end, TLG will soon apply real "retiring" badges starting from EU LEGO Shop at Home sites: this speculation is fun!
