...And this is why the bubble talk is silly. Margins will continue to squeeze until they approach the effort required to store and move boxes around plus cash opportunity cost. It will be a graceful decline into institutionalized permanent availability.
I have been watching this a little closer and it's consistently doing this on the web interface in Chrome on my Mac. It goes to the correct post on the iPad web interface in Safari. I don't use the app, but it appears that is okay from an earlier response.
What I have noticed is that when there is a new Max Profit post, then when I click to go to the see the new posts, it takes me to the pinned post rather than the new post. Maybe the forum software is looking for the first new post, but then stopping at the pinned post because it is "new."
My guess: Three skylines, Louvre, Capitol, Buckingham, Burj. Anything else would surprise me. That seems like enough sets to keep on the shelf for the coming year with the three new skylines and Guggenheim redo.
I guess by dumping, I meant there was no sudden price drop that immediately resulted in selling through the final stock. The Architecture line in general seems to sell for 20-30% off for most of it's life.
Too bad I missed the tip off about a potential retirement. This one took me by surprise.
Tried to hit up B&Ns that usually have old stock around and barely found any (still lots of the other retirement candidates). If this stays sold out, it will be the quickest Architecture departure I recall. Also, I noticed that when all the other Architecture sets were sold at LSAH, this was the last one to remain available. It makes me think LSAH held on to the remaining stock to sell themselves rather than dumping it on a retailer to liquidate.
I don't even see listings on the Target and TRU pages anymore and all the other stores I can think of are sold out.
10 returns...ever? I must be certainly over this with just household item returns--let alone damaged product returns. Would all those count?
I got a damaged MF this week and I'm trying to decide what to do with it. Item is currently OOS, so I'm going to hold tight for a bit either way.
