  1. I've been finding better deals at smaller town Walmarts. I got a quinjet city chase for $50 (there was only one ) and an imperial assault carrier for $100
  2. Geesh. I need to move to Ontario. There is the square root of jack for sales in my neck of Alberta
  3. Dang, I never seem to get these caliber of deals around me (best I've seen is darkseid invasion @$63 down from $90 I think). If any of you manage to snag one or more of those command shuttles on clearance I'd really appreciate a picture of the receipt!
  4. Cool! Thanks so much
  5. While it's not a deal, I didn't know where I should put this, so my apologies in advance. Does anybody know if we can sign up for a Canada Post Small Business card without encountering any issues? I know someone who has one and they've let me use it a few times and I'd love to keep getting that discount. I don't ship a ton of stuff, but what I do ship is pretty large. I'm not registered as a business or small business and don't want to run into any legal issues here. Thanks for any insight
  6. I noticed the glitch on the LEGO Shop at Home and checked out Walmart's website which also said they didn't have any. The only place to go was Toys R Us, but their free shipping policy didn't apply to my postal code. So I figured I better zip down to the closest Lego Store (still 1.5 hours away by car) only to find that seriously had hundreds of them. Ecto 1's as far as the eye could see. Still decided to pick up 3 and a mini cooper for moi. I also can't wait for the lovely little turnaround that is to be had with the winter soldiers
  7. A large scale P1 would be amazing (I think this could do well in Technic with the bendy pieces). I'm still crossing my fingers that the Ferrari F40 rumors are true!!
  8. LEGO Shop at Home Canada got a restock
  9. I've been perusing these forums for a while now and I think SOH will do well after EOL. I think the fact that it's over priced might actually play to its favour. For example, my closest lego store has had 2 in stock since boxing day. I finally bought one of them yesterday and plan on picking up the other if it's still there after my 15 day work shift. Not only that, but everybody else seems to say it's not moving as well other sets (likely due to the fact that the tower bridge is available which the average consumer will find to be a no brainer when considering which large set to buy). If it really isn't selling that well coupled with the fact that it's currently unavailable on LEGO Shop at Home says to me that it's almost curtains at the Opera house.
  10. Thanks for all of the replies! I'm not in any way expecting to get top dollar prices for these sets (especially the generic racer sets), but I think I'll hold on to them for a while regardless.
  11. Hey everyone! I've been on here for a couple of months reading, but not posting. I got my start investing in LEGO when I managed to nab 10225 R2D2 this april for retail price and realized I'd rather make money off of it than build it. Since then I've bought some discounted LEGO Movie sets, Palace Cinema, and the VW bus all to resell based on my gut and what I've read. Anyway, on to my question: I've recently been sorting through my childhood LEGO bricks and piecing together my old sets. I'd like to sell these sets, but I don't think they're overly popular sets. For example I have pieced together the 8652 1:17 scale Enzo Ferrari, 8671 1:17 F430 Spider, 4507 Prehistoric Creatures, 4955 Big Rig Truck, 8649 Nitro Menace, and 8682 Nitro Intimidator. I don't mind undercutting people and not making as much money but it seems like nobody is going to buy these. Would it be better to part them out? Or perhaps to sell them as a lot? Any suggestions would bu much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
