Good Afternoon... well at least it is in Maryland... So I am new to the site and have poked around a little and I'm not sure if I posted this in the right spot. I would love to get into investing in Legos, but don't really know where to start or how to build a base to work from. My wife and I are teachers and are saving for a house, and were heading into summer, so our disposable income is low at the moment but is better when school is back in session. I collect, build, and have picked up a few for investment purposes, but I would like to expand to have more options. I loved Lego as a kid and picked it up recently when I purchased 21020 Trevi Fountain to teach about Roman architecture. I was of course bitten with the bug and have been back to Legos for close to a year now. I unfortunately missed the Harry Potter series and regret it every time I see a Diagon Alley set. As far as what I have now, and I'm not sure if they are considered an investment... I have about 20 different sets that I have built including TB and PC and PR and DO,a few polybags from dollars spent promotional items like ADM Yularen, Winter SoldierWhen the Hover Hunter was on sale at LEGO Shop at Home for 2.98 I picked up 10, and those are my only new setsI guess my biggest questions right now are: What type of sets make good investments? Any suggestions of sets to buy now as an investment? What is the best way to sell the sets when you are ready? Are the holiday sets worth getting?Collecting vs. Investing, any tips about how I can balance the love of building them with knowing how valuable they are mint? Also, what is the best place to buy Legos... I mean I love the $5 for every 100 points, but is there a better deal out there when buying Legos? Thanks for any answers and or help with these questions!
