  1. Yes... basically be savvy (and ruthless) enough to know what to do in each circumstance. Not to say I am very savvy or successful but I flipped like a madman every Ocean HQ I would buy every week almost immediately while I held on to post-retirement things like Fallingwater, AT-AT etc.
  2. Sandwiches are better than gold. Definitely a retiring sandwich.
  3. Be patient. I picked mine up yesterday (took a few days to ship to a local Walmart). Of course, even though it was in a box with air cushions, there were some gouges. Possibly because Indeed.
  4. And here http://www.toysrus.com/buy/lego-hard-to-find-sets/lego-technic-porsche-911-gt3-rs-42056-6137065-85258966
  5. By invitation... I am not eligible
  6. Not if Lepin can help it!
  7. Something something "wall of Lego bricks" Edit: Tacsniper sniped my post!
  8. Would make much more sense to pair with the 75049 Snowspeeder.
  9. Interesting tidbit from that Top Gear article: Fascinating. Maybe they were concerned about LEGO giving away something proprietary about how it was implemented mechanically.
  10. Sariel's review of this monster is out! A definite buy for me.
  11. Easy; one of my all-time favourite sets: http://en.brickimedia.org/wiki/6941_Battrax
  12. Yep. I bought it then; came with 70749 Enter the Serpent (was around mid-November 2015).
  13. As long as I get my Caterham! I wonder which version they will release?
  14. " This code only applies to Overstock, Starbucks Coffee, Toys"R"Us, Toys"R"Us (In Store Only), Chevys Fresh Mex, Jamba Juice, Benihana, Domino's, ULTA, American Girl, Abercrombie & Fitch, California Pizza Kitchen, Netflix, Movietickets.com, rue21, P. F. Chang's, Buca di Beppo, Steak 'n Shake, Bob's Stores (In Store Only), H&M, and The Habit Burger Grill. "
  15. I have decided that part of my strategy going forwards is to do what emazers says (but not completely) and the opposite of what plastic _passion says (but not completely). I think I am at 6 of this set. It is a lovely set though (and his book with more bird designs is great).
  16. I am sure that TLG has much more immediate real concerns than "messing with us resellers" frankly. We aren't that important. Anyway, retail channels (e.g. LEGO Shop at Home ) are for retail purchases and commercial channels are for commercial purchases. P.s. Horde is who you are, hoard is what you do
  17. Wait, do I now need to have a drink?
  18. I received a package yesterday , funnily enough. Ordered most likely around 0100 (am), received it by the afternoon. Not even in a major metropolitan area. Amazon is really gearing up to smash all opposition at this point.
  19. You should make an automated macro to respond every time a deal like this happens with this information, lol. Interestingly, it seems some of those sets are still available but I'll hold off from judging this a good deal until I have the sets in my hands. Some still left, though, when you look at their ebay items list.
  20. That was a rumour started by end users. Lego never stated that only the first batch will have a serial number. In fact, it appears that the code will allow access to a special site with Power Functions instructions, amongst other things.
  21. I know that Anio grumbled about the gearbox. Not to devolve this in to the crapfest it became on Eurobricks, even the MOC that have no real limitation of time, commercial suitability and parts used have gearbox binding issues. It doesn't matter much though what a tiny community of cranky Technic enthusiast thinks (many of them don't even ever buy and/or build official sets). The thing will deservedly sell like hotcakes to a wide public and hopefully lead to follow-up vehicles.
  22. All of this so far is speculation. There have not been any official reviews published yet (correct me if I am wrong). Lots of it is angry churning over at Eurobricks. As for the colour, it is close to the official colour Porsche has often had their track-ready (or at least more hardcore) road 911 cars. Some shade of orange has usually been the release and motorshow colour, as well. Goes with the car's personality - seeing a bright orange hissing and screaming GT3RS run about during a track day it makes sense.
