Got two at 20% off from Toyworld, added bonus.
They had a boatload of the Winter Train Station, not sure these are worth it. Probably the worst set of the series.
Classic Bat Cave as well
Christmas Train 30% off at LEGO online. Two gets you the Xmas tree and free shipping.
Not bad?
Ive heard from two different LEGO brand stores that the CNY Dinner Set is getting re-released. Might be worth offloading them if you’re holding
These sets are brilliant and I think that LEGO have done a great job in representing a very important event in South East Asian culture, would love to see a Night Market or Lantern Festival street scene if more sets are developed. But yes I do find it amusing that the people who it should appeal to the most are the ones hoovering most of the stock.
Been a while since I’ve browsed this site. Nice to see some familiar names that have stuck around.
I wonder why they increased the limit on this set to 50 for EU/AUS etc.
Maybe they just wanted to ensure that everyone had a chance to get one for Valentines Day. The Holiday Train also had the 1 per household limit increased after Xmas
Placed four orders, they all shipped same day. Just need the Catwoman, Arctic Roller, Riddler and Joker Balloon sets now for the personal stash.
According to the tracking everything is coming from WA, which is strange.
Death Star Final Duel - Sold out EU/AUS
From an Australian perspective there are only two eBay listings for this set at the moment and it hasn't been available at retail for 6 months at least. Might jump up a bit, then again maybe not
Interesting set. Doesn't display particularly well by itself but it's cleverly designed and is fun to motorise.
Not every AFOL wants a fairground in their city though as the Ferris Wheel tends to tower over most things
The Trevi Fountain that I ordered a few weeks ago has just been cancelled as 'demand has exceeded expectations and the product is no longer available'.
Still looks orderable (back order) to me but one to keep an eye on. Great set
Don't worry mate, Indominus going in and out of stock could be a sign of EOL.
Hopeless optimism maybe but I think that Scooby and Jurassic World will be done by the end of the year.
Justin Ramsden (of Channel 4 doco fame) has had a great start as a LEGO designer. Fantastic set
The Spider-Man Bridge might be my favourite Marvel set ever and I understand that he had some involvement with the LEGO Batman sets which look teriffic also.
I'm not sure if LEGO attracts certain types of adults, but the constant whining from AFOLs can get tiresome sometimes. In the confines of these forums all of these issues seem so important, but in reality none of it really matters. It's just a hobby
Every day there are children across the globe having a LEGO set put into their hands for the first time. It stands to reason that LEGO will want the biggest Star Wars play set available to as many kids as possible, just like the Police and Fire station sets which are refreshed every few years.
This is just the rare case where nerds, AFOLs and speculators also have a vested interest because it's Star Wars and huge.
