  1. Hi, I am in the process of trying to improve the Lego Minifigure Display frames that I sell online. I would like to know what you - the Lego Minifigure Collectors - want in a Minifigure Display. I have created a short On-line survey that can be found at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1PFWb6NRaYDk01H_Wo4dubeq7F2oXsC1VyJHyjmSSqgc/viewform?usp=send_form if you would be kind enough to take (less than) 5 minutes to fill out this form and submit it I would appreciate it. Hopefully I can create the kind of display that the community desires and offer it at a decent price. Your feedback is welcomed. Many thanks Halamalagarli
  2. There are two Rubens figures (according to my Lego minifig Catalogue) but neither have a balaclava head, one comes with a plain red torso (with white hands) and the other has a sticker on the front that includes R.Barrichello on it. I'm afraid the main part is a skin coloured head, he has a slight smile and light brown hair (sideburns) printed on. I bought both the Schumacher and Barrichello figs for about
  3. Bought Quinjet Aerial Battle from ToysRUs for
  4. I too am predominantly a minifig collector. I started with the Collectable Minifig series, and they are on series 10 now, still going strong. I also bought bulk job lots on Ebay to pick out the minifigs, sometimes there are some good ones in there, other times you're missing just a hairpiece or something. I love the Marvel/DC and Lord of the Rings minifigs and just getting lots from old sets, I have some that are really (no real arms just a hint of them) and plenty basic police or firemen ones. I like the knights and castles ones too. There are just too many to get them all, and although I have a bunch of starwars ones I do not find them to be the best. Gold C3P0 is over-rated and the new Mr Gold rare but not a great figure. My current favorite is the Swamp Monster from a monster fighters set, a small set with a really cool fig.
  5. I got one, when I saw it was 37% off, I thought it was worth a pop. It'll have to sit under the bed for some time, and will possibly be even cheaper in months to come, but I reckon it is a good deal Also, I had lots of amazon vouchers to use up, so it only cost me
  6. I'm sorry, but I don't have swaps of any of the series. When I first started collecting I had loads, but now I am a seasoned bag-groper and so I rarely end up with ones I don't want Add to that the fact that my local shop lets me swap them for others, I don't really end up with many swaps at all. The only ones I need are from series 1,2,3 and mainly series 2. I'm interetsed in this Elrond figure, I reckon that here in the UK it might be in the Sun's polybag give away that is due around feb/march. I'll keep my eyes peeled for those that you guys need, sometimes old swaps turn up in the local shop. I have about 9 of series 9 so far, some of them are great, the cyclops is brilliant. I'll pick the rest up soon. I did manage to get a complete set of the GB olympic figs, still sealed (I have an open set for myself) but I'm going to try to hang onto them until 2016 and see if they are worth more when the Rio Olympics come around (maybe Lego will release a set of Rio ones too)
  7. Welcome, I'm so jealous you never sold your old lego, good on your Mum. It funny that you mention this "If Lego started creating special minifigs - only inserted in certain unmarked sets - it could shift the market considerably." because of this http://www.brickset.com/news/article/?ID=5557 Specifically the minifig section at the bottom of the page
  8. I bought The Hobbit, Escape from Mirkwood spiders today, at normal price (
  9. Well it has been 20yrs, so I guess I should forgive her by now. At the time I wasn't bothered, it was in the 'dark ages' so I ws probably happy it had gone to someone who played with it Now I look back and think 'dagnammit' but it's ok, I guess I would have had some good classic minifigs but it was mostly town stuff, nothing special. I have checked out the polybag/minifig trading thread, but I have so many I want to get, I think my big aim this year will be to get all the dwarves from Hobbit, I doubt I'll buy all the sets but I'll probably try and pick up a few through brick link, I also have a few parts to get to complete a Ferrari I got in a bundle for xmas, so I'll top up the order with a minifig or two.
  10. Hi all, I have been lurking for a few weeks, but thought I best introduce myself. I am a 34yr old man from the UK, I was a huge fan of Lego when I was young, I had quite a collection, including (but not limited to) the high speed train set, and a weetabix special edition house. Unfortuately my Mum gave all my lego away to a friend who had young sons once I was more interested in girls and rock music. Anyway... fast forward nearly 15 years and I'm on my luch break when I walk into a local tesco and see collectable Lego minfigs on sale, series 4. Well I bought one, then the next day I bought two more and so on until I had only one more to collect (I had purchased about 45 in total but was holding out for the mad scientist) after that I was hooked on minifigs and I started my collection proper. Just over a year ago I moved to Devon, it just so happened (and it wasn't planned, I swear) that the town I moved to has a Lego shop, not an official Lego shop just a shop that sells lego. After a month or two the owner knew me by name and I'd pop in all the time to glance at his stock (he sells 2nd hand lego sets) in particular his minifigs. When the new CMFs come in he opens a bunch of packs so you can choose the ones you want, he is happy for me to grope the packs and even has swaps available. Anyway, on Christmas eve he mentioned that the shop down the road (another toy shop) had a Lego Harry Potter Burrows for sale at
