Was in my local Lego Store today and was advised that the Ewok Village would be available this weekend for the VIP members.....I'm gonna just wait so I can get some of the mini vw's and clonetrooper figs for the September promotion.....

Definitely would buy at 40.00, under the radar set......

Found two Attack of the Wargs for $33.23 plus tax and a MF Werewolf set for $9.48 plus tax... Not much but gotta take what I can get...

I picked up 2 at a local Target at 19.93 plus tax (30% off plus my 5% Redcard discount)......

I started off myself by getting 2 of all the Star Wars sets when I really got interested but lately because of less money to spend I've had to start liquidating some of my sets. And of course I'm really interested in getting all of the LOTR sets and continuing to collect the Superheroes sets too. Just so much, having to decide which ones to concentrate on first.....help!!!!

Definitely the Orc Forges right now.... The funhouse is a great set too, and the figures are great......40.00 is such a great price too....heck, I say buy both, as many as u can.......can't miss investments right now......

I have been able to get 7 total...I believe this set will be a very good investment, especially considering how the LOTR theme seems to be really catching fire.... And on Dan the line when the tower goes EOL, you will see an even more demand since more collectors/investors will be looking to pair those two up....and the more forges the better with that type of display ......just my two and a half cents.... Lol

Dropped by Toys R Us today and found 4 of the Captain America sets....I went ahead and picked them up even though they were 14.99 and bogo 50% off. Came out to 12.16 each plus picked up two of the mini headhunter ships (each free with 20.00 purchase). I know that wasn't great savings but the boxes were absolutely in perfect condition and I have had a hard time finding these anywhere, especially since they went to sold out status......

Hi everyone. Just seeing if there are any fellow collectors who had a chance to go to Brick Fest (Brick Fiesta) today at the Mesquite Convention in Mesquite,TX. I dropped by this morning and they had some really great customs set up. There were also several vendors but there stuff was so expensive. Anyway, they are having it for one more day on Sunday from 11-4.

I was able to pick up 5 more today at two separate targets in the Dallas area...So whats the consensus on this set? What could it be going for by Christmas?

I found one tonight at my local target for 34.98.....went ahead and got it. I think it's a cool tank and the minifigs are great too

I still haven't picked one of these up yet. It's one if those sets that I see myself looking at everytime I'm in Target or Wal-Mart. I've been thinking about getting one on Amazon lately at 55.73........idk.....

Hey fellow collectors. So I just came back from one of my local targets here in Dallas and they had clearanced down three sets: the Bat vs Bane Tumbler Chase for 27.98, the Star Wars Umbaran MHC for 34.98 and several of the TMNT Shellraiser sets for 29.98. I picked up one of the Batman sets as well as the Star Wars set and also got my 5% off redcard discount for a total of 64.74. I thought it was decent since they are newer and I hadn't pick them up until now. Was disappointed that there was no LOTR sets though. Anyways, so whats everyone's take on the TMNT set for 29.98? I have heard lots of people talk negatively about the TMNT theme but not sure investment wise if I want to get some, but 50% off seems good....

I'm in the Dallas area, has anyone spotted any vampire castles, urk hai 9471 or superheroes sets on clearance?

I picked up a Haunted House and Batman A.A. at the Lego Store yesterday. Had a 10% off coupon I used on the HH and 5.00 bonus bucks....343.23 total with tax. Guess that's the best I could hope for at this time. Plus got 4 of the Jor-El figures too, and now have 20.00 in bonus bucks......

Picked up another Batman set with the new Mr. Freeze and Aquaman figs......

I experienced this a few years ago when I sold a misb x-wing fighter on eBay. The seller contacted me and said that the minifigs were missing as well as some pieces. So, he sent me back the bags and after receiving them I noticed that the bags which thebminifigs would have been in were shrink wrapped. I could not believe this jerk did this. I immediately blocked the buyer and then raised my restrictions....

I use Fed Ex Ground mostly with the sets I have been selling on eBay. It tends to be alot cheaper than USPS Priority Mail, especially if your shipping larger boxes. Plus, the tracking is really good.

The older Sail Barge will not go down in price at all, just based on how bad the new one looks, it will probably make more people want to get the original one. I am so glad I picked up lots of those. It reminds me so much of the new Tumbler...what a joke, just look at the prices of set #7888 now......

I think this is a good set also. I just can't start buying any more different themes right now...way too $$$$

Hi and welcome to the site. I am in the late 30's range with daughters, and am also an 80's child...grew up watching gi Joe and transformers and collecting them also. I also went through that baseball card "craze" of the late 80's and early 90's, as well as the comic book fiasco of the early 90's... I just wish I would have been collecting Legos instead...I had a few but not that many until I started collecting with Star Wars in 1999, and yes, I too had the Billy Ripken card......
