  1. Retired now at SAH EU - is this likely to last?
  2. Architecture Studio C2C in EU.
  3. Is this the first indication we've had this might be on it's way out?
  4. With the recent announcement of the Ninjago Movie flagship set I think this one will well and truly be done by year's end. Whilst I personally love the set I have reservations about it from an investment perspective.
  5. Some of the minifigures from these sets have great potential and there's already demand for certain ones. I'm targetting any of the fun packs under 50% off from here on in, particularly as I think once the cancellation becomes official the sets will be clearanced very quickly.
  6. Still sold out in the US - what's its availability like in retail stores in the US? I see Amazon still has it.
  7. Trevi Fountain back available at B&N.
  8. Are you wanting this to build or sell? To sell just knock $5 off the lowest price and advertise it as damaged and it will sell straight away.
  9. There are only 2 online warehouses for Lego; Lego US and then Lego everywhere else in the world. So Lego AU should match exactly to every other Lego country site except the US.
  10. SAH in EU seems to be lagging well behind the US in the OOS and C2C stakes... hopefully the upcoming snow globe promo fixes that.
  11. I'm cautiously optimistic this will be a good performer a few years from now.
  12. Anyone know how many of these in a Lego outer box?
  13. It used to be $10k, I got a nice email from Ebay last financial year stating my details had been passed on to the ATO. Unless you're doing major volume I wouldn't bee too concerned, just keep all your receipts just in case.
  14. Contact customer service, they manually applied the 30% discount for me on the Airjitzu Temple. I'd be quick about it too because it's only a matter of time before they exclude Lego from this sale.
  15. It should auto-discount, if you add any toy that isn't Lego that will automatically discount the 30% in cart.
  16. UCS Tie Fighter and Ninjago Temple are both showing as being included in the 30% off, however nothing happening in cart.
  17. No unfortunately not, this stopped around 4 months ago. Amazon.de, .fr and .es also no longer post to Australia. It's a real shame as it was an excellent source of cheap sets and VAT was excluded.
  18. Hate to be the bringer of bad news but availability is always the same for all countries outside of the US.
  19. If pretty sure that's not correct, unless they've been singing it wrong in the theme song the last 5 years! :-)
  20. I believe he meant IST... not ISD.
  21. 18 have sold well above RRP on Ebay in the last 90 days, that's very positive. Do you know how to view sold listings on Ebay?
  22. You'll probably make some money, but why are you choosing this set and this set alone to put your money into? Why not Pet Shop, Mixer, Tower Bridge, Simpsons House (and many, many others) which are much more likely to retire sooner and hence appreciate quicker? There is a chance it retires at the end of this year in which case it will do fine but there's an equally strong chance it won't retire at the end of this year. Also assuming prices will still be at $530 in 12-18 months time is dangerous, there could be a reoccuring shipment and discount of this set for the next 18 months which puts a ceiling on prices. Anyway you seem pretty set on it so all the best, remember to come back and taunt us in 18 months time. :-)
  23. A few points: - Shipping will be around $50 for this set if you're shipping from WA, more if you want it insured. Ebay and Paypal fees from a $500 sale are $62.50. So if you're selling for $500 to break even on this set your buy-in will need to be around the $390 mark. - Only 6 of these have sold on Ebay in the last 3 months, they will not be easy to move quickly. - Read carefully the terms of the credit if you go a single day over the 20 months without having the $10k repaid in full.
  24. Buying on credit and expecting to clear all stock and make a profit on a set that might not even be retired in 18 months is a crazy move (imo). Do your research, it's not a particularly fast moving set (no pun intended). I could think of at least 50 sets off the top of my head I would rather buy for investment, have a read around these forums to make a better judgment of what sets are more likely to retire in 2 weeks (at 30 June) or 6 months time. It's all about buying the right sets at the right time.
  25. Prices have now hit 3x RRP in this neck of the woods, sales of this set have significantly increased since the release of the Airport Battle.
