  1. Amazon reviews hold more merit than the Lego ones for me the majority of the time, but the one hesitation I've had with buying this one is the size. And from now reading the reviews, it seems that it being such a small workshop is a common complaint with the set. So it is having an impact on me now as I might pass on it for my own collection.
  2. I have a coupon that I'm not going to use, it gives $30 off $60 on an online or phone order. The coupon code is 5756915144925421. It expires September 13, 2014. It doesn't say whether it can be used multiple times or not so I guess I'll leave the experimenting to you guys Excludes: Daily Deals, Computers, eReaders, Epson ink and Toner, Gift Cards, and custom printing orders.
  3. Santa's Workshop easily for me. I have a feeling it will be a set that will be built and displayed in my house every winter for a very long time.
  4. I like the good ol' 2x2.
  5. You gotta try out the features, you know just to make sure they work. Sometimes adding sound effects makes it work better...who I am I kidding, yes I play with the Lego sets when I finish building them for a few minutes depending on size and then I either take them apart or display them depending on the theme.
  6. I recently went on a tour for a package handler position at UPS. While I was there, I witnessed some of the workers using some of the larger packages as stepping stools to stack boxes. I cringed on the inside just thinking it could be Legos in the box being crushed. Also saw some boxes just heaved up on the pile as well. Figured I'd post this in here for anybody who has received a damaged package from UPS and wondering how it's possible...worst part was the supervisors didn't even seem to care.
  7. Would love to use that verbally to my coworkers hahaha "IISNOAIASHITO right?"
  8. Grabbed 2 Corporate Alliance Tank Droids at $10 each and 2 more Escape from Mirkwood Spiders for $15 each from Walmart Clearance.
  9. My Malevolence came in a polybag shipper last week >_> Lucky for me the Ebay seller only lives about an hour and a half away so it didn't get completely crushed, did arrive damaged though.
  10. Not sure when but very likely it will be discounted in the future. The piece count and price are comparable to those of Hulk Lab Smash and Daily Bugle Showdown and those both have been marked down to $39.99 several times (I think they are on Amazon as I write this). I'd imagine this will follow suit. Just the matter of when.
  11. I think it'll depend greatly on how good the movie is. The best time to part out would probably be the weeks after the movie is released in August as the demand should greatly increase. Seems right now that the main fans of those sets are just die hard Marvel fans in general. Just my opinion.
  12. I'm not ready >_>
  13. Used to love playing Stratego when I was younger but for some reason relearning all the rules has taken the fun out of it for me. Now I'm pretty much limited to Monopoly, Clue, and Life. Used to play Risk but stopped, caused too many hard feelings and fights hahaha
  14. I've legitimately had dreams about this type of scenario. Congratulations!!
  15. Thank you for the opinions everyone! Ended up pulling the trigger on it. I'm a fan of the Clone Wars series so it's attractiveness has increased for me as time has gone on. I'll check TRU over the weekend and see if they have budged on the price. Last I was there it was slightly above MSRP Still salty over the 4th haha I couldn't decide on a third set to get in addition to the Vizsla and Malevolence and I didn't want duplicates but I wanted the Revan figure, by the time I got the third item in my bag, it was too late. Win some lose some
  16. I intend to build it but I can have it sealed for $96. Think I'll find it any lower at this point?
  17. They just finally started showing up at most retail stores that sell Lego near me. 2 weeks ago, the only place I saw them was at about 75% of the Walmarts around here. My area's strange about it though. The Lego Movie figs and the previous series before that were only stocked at my Walmart for the last month they were available before retiring. Could be a telltale sign for me to base retirement on if this trend continues.
  18. Picked up a couple of these at $21 and was kinda kicking myself, after reading this I decided I'd give it a go and I am now glad I have a few. These are fantastic looking! Thank you for the inspiration!
  19. Wish my Walmart would discount this, Goblin King and Barrel Escape. Haven't bought a Lego set in almost two weeks now and those three just sitting there at full price is starting to get to me haha
  20. The Quinjet was the set that got my gf into Legos, but she likes the Avengers almost as much as I do. The Simpson house would be a good one as well, got some of my coworkers into Lego when they saw me with the catalog that had it on the back, I believe two of them actually bought them and now everytime I need to pick up some pieces on bricklink, they have a laundry list for me to get them . Would definitely say it depends on the individual's interests.
  21. I'll go this route and hope for the best. Thanks! Tried that but they told me they're unable to see which accounts use the cards. With all the complaints about iTunes cards they receive, you'd think they'd be have some sort of tracking but guess that's not their priority :/ They're 7 hours from me, not worth the gas. I did verify their phone number they listed is legit though so I may or may not have had a little fun with that on craigslist.
  22. This is why I'm led to believe that there was no "hacking" of their account or anything. The real hacker would get their free cards, and move on. Just the fact that the claim was made within 5 minutes of me sending and them using the card(immediately attempted redeeming once I saw the PayPal email) is sketchy at best. That along with the buyer actually wanting the $2 shipping refund. Just wish Ebay would actually have a human investigate instead of their buyer biased system.
  23. This event was for a listing that wasn't LEGO but I'm curious if anybody's been in a similar situation. I recently sold an iTunes Gift Card on Ebay, the buyer left a note on Paypal at the purchase asking if I could just send the code to them through ebay messaging to save on shipping. So I did and issued a $2.00 refund. Within 5 minutes of me hitting send, I get an email from PayPal saying the buyer has filed an unauthorized account activity claim. I explained to PayPal what had transpired including pointing out the note attached to the transaction but still haven't heard back. I figure I'll lose that case and am out the gift card since PayPal doesn't protect sellers for any gift cards but that's not what I'm worrying about. I just went to their profile on Ebay and it seems they are leaving negative feedback on several other sellers who they also purchased iTunes gift cards from. I reported the buyer to Ebay but I'm not sure how to avoid getting a negative feed. According to PayPal, the buyer is claiming they were hacked or something. Any advice? I'm still under 100 for feedback so having a negative will impact my rating severely.
