  1. Wow, amazing set. I have the smaller one I picked up for 160$ off CL a few months ago. How much did you spend on this if you don't mind me asking?
  2. Picked up 7094 & 7029 - Castle + Skeleton Ship with the pirate captain! 50$ each at a garage sale. Everything is there but opened and the boxes were pretty dusty. Think I'll hang onto these for myself. Score!
  3. Took advantage of the Think Geek BOGO 50%. 2 Unexpected Gatherings 2 Battle at the black gate 2 Pirate Ship Ambush free shipping on orders over 75$. Considering I lost out on the BatCave when I saw it and didn't click buy, Is the Daily Bugle Showdown worth it at BOGO 50?
  4. Did you guys remember to get your Lord Business Evil Lair for 3x VIP points this month? I picked up 2 of those at the Lego store as well.
  5. 3 Mini Modulars 61$ each. 2 Robie houses 150$ each.
  6. 4 Guggenheim Museum - 45$ each
  7. Found many Rovers online at 49$ each - ordered 4.
  8. Minecraft The End.. Is this set going to jump like 21102 did? I think it looks awesome! Not to mention The Cave, The Farm, The First Night, Creative Box, The Ender Dragon, The Mine - due in Nov. Great source for future and current released dates on sets if you don't have this link. http://lego.wikia.com/wiki/2014
  9. 2 Ecto 1's from Lego Store using points I was disappointed to find out there are no more SSD's available. I wanted to purchase 2 over the weekend as something told me to do so and I found that these are all gone now from Lego and the prices are ridiculous off Lego.com. I did get some really nice deals over the weekend from CL TIE Fighter - 40$ open, but box, bags, figures/instructions with it. Great shape! Republic Frigate for 100$ MIB Superman black zero escape $13 MIB Spongebob flying dutchman $25 MIB Fire Helicopter $20 damaged corner but NIB Coast Guard Boat $55 MIB Lone Ranger Stagecoach $30 MIB - all the characters are in this set! Coolness. Star Wars MHC $40 MIB Going to hang onto these for a while and see how the market goes - seems like they will work well with pairing sets around the holidays.
  10. From LEGO.com - I took a gamble since no one here in town has any of them - 16: random Simpsons minifigs to go with my Simpsons Houses. Separate purchases each - 1 R2D2, 1 Sand Crawler, 1 X-Wing collectors, and a duo of (DC Batcave & Assylum (for my son's birthday)). Looking forward to the minifig and posters. Big savings on the DC stuff in Walmart store. Happy 4th be with you! BTW - I saw on EBay the minifig set for the Sand Crawler alone is around 150$. Now I want two to keep one in storage. Have to wait on the R2 Unit as they are not shipping for 30 days. sorry had to say that - "R2 Unit". This little droid will see a lot of action next to my Darth Maul head.
  11. Sounds like they really want to sell it! Or perhaps it's fake, smokin' deal though.
  12. I remember reading this a while back, I found this set on CL if it helps. I am not in Chicago, nor is this my ad. Good luck! perhaps you can work out a shipping trade or deal. http://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/tag/4428296931.html
  13. Worth a shot. BTW - Has anyone purchased the "Juniors" DC Lego sets looks like the minifigures are all the same as the big boy sets. Seems like a good price point to part out. http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Batman-Defend-the-Batcave-10672?fromListing=listing http://shop.lego.com/en-US/Spider-Man-Spider-Car-Pursuit-10665?fromListing=listing
  14. To get my double points VIP today I decided to splurge and stock up on DUPLO so I can buy a Sea Cow eventually with points! I am all tapped out this month now. Hopefully going to turn and flip these as a Creative bundle for a nice profit once they retire! 10 - 6785 - Creative Cakes 10 - 10574 - Creative Ice Cream 10 - 10566 - Creative Picnic 10 - 10573 - Creative Animals 10 - 10552 - Creative Cars 6784 - Creative Sorter Was out of stock!
  15. What an odd assortment to sell together. 60$ !? That's insane.
  16. Recently I began exploring building sets virtually to determine if the set is worth the build value for my own desire and potentially reading into my buyer base. Here is what I do: I downloaded LEGO Digital Designer and found some instructions from sets. I have built all the Star Wars potentials and the DC and Marvel items and have found something interesting. I have discovered bricks that are new and kind of exclusive! It is fun to see that Lego has many custom bricks which has in my opinion increased the desire in the set. I also decided to design some CUUSOO projects and looked over the CUUSOO sight and what is in the works. They have some very cool ideas out there and it's great to read LEGO's comments on the sets. I also have been playing Chrome Builders Academy on LEGO.com and have been having a lot of fun. Learning about the macro world of bricks, color selection and how the builds are thought through. All of this is pretty educational and best of all FREE if you don't mind spending some time and learning this world. So my .02 cents of worth for today from a designer stand point and looking at sets without cracking open the boxes! Happy virtual building.

  17. Took advantage of the YOYO first time customer opportunity with "TOYBONUS" and picked up 2 LEGO Star Wars Jabba's Sail Barge 75020 for 76$ each. They were listed at 95$ each on sale from 119 already. Wish I could have bought more but only limited to two.
  18. Wow, this is absolutely on my list. What city are you in? Seattle by any chance? Nice work.
  19. Don't dare escape the Lego franchise for hacks, but these guys are legit! http://www.oyosportstoys.com/ Has anyone researched the value in the Market Place for these? My wife has been buying me the entire Seahawks NFL limited edition series and I keep them absolutely sealed. I am from Seattle and we have a heck of a season behind us and great future on the horizon. Franchise records and more... Ohhhhh, They get pulled out on game day as a good luck charm and I whet my appetite for the entire team to be released along with coaches but I am curious if anyone is aware of these even a little bit? I bought one to open out of curiosity and they are spectacular little figs. Lots of cool accessories and great features on the design. I saw that Richard Sherman (love or hate) is already going for more than the value. She picks these up at 9.95 and they sell for retail at 12.99 so easy profit. Recently bought the End Zone set too. If they win the Superbowl, or "when" then I am predicting them to go for a lot more in the year to come. They are also releasing the superbowl division champs series and MVP's. If you are looking for amazing little figs that even bend at the knees, then I suggest these are seriously looked at. First items were NHL and then MLB and now NFL and college have been added. I presume tennis is a close idea in the works. I'd love a Federrer figure with a little yellow ball and racket. Cheers!
  20. If you are going to pass this up, I'd buy, my dad was a maritime guy and he would love this ship for his shelves. I absolutely love this set. Beautiful colors and the size is crazy cool. I say go for it just for a rebuild experience and the opportunity to have a set that is very unique in your grasp.
  21. Had a first time customer discount. Picked up many sets and saved big. Really enjoyed their cust service as well. If you make a mistake on the order you can't get the discount again. So buy wisely. I used code THOUSANDS http://www.retailmenot.com/view/diapers.com?c=5467450 They also offer a referral of 5$ bonus for referral towards new customers back to you.
  22. Is this possible? Like an idiot noob to collecting, bought the TRU buy one get 40% off end of Dec and over paid by a large margin on two Star Wars sets, Millennium Falcon 169.99$ (at the time it was HTF and I got one as a gift and opened it so I wanted a boxed one) and #9493 X-Wing (same gift, and opened) which was 79.99$ and #9495 Gold Leader Y Wing @ 69.99 Got some great sets at 40% discount from it though in comparison that are on the Soon To Be Retired list. #75014 Battle of Hoth @ 49.99$, #9526 Palpatines Arrest @ 46.19$ and #9499 Gungan Sub @ 52.79$ Not opening these and holding onto them. If I can take them back for the margin price difference I would. Much smarter now though since reading this sites info. You guys are great.
  23. Thanks! Kind of new to the flipping/investing brix. For me, I really just enjoy legos regardless, so buying a set for me at a savings is moot, however getting into good business skills is a strategy I am a just learning when it comes to bricks/sets. I enjoy the wealth of knowledge on here. Anyone know where/how to find The Mine cheaper?
  24. Hey fellow brick maniacs TRU has a deal right now that if you spend over 75$ you get 20$ off your order plus free shipping over 49$. Considering if I placed separate orders, I could get this off each set I buy. I was thinking of bundling these as a "Mine" package. With Gold Mining shows on TV becoming so popular, I would think this would be a very cool package or at least valuable as far as the popularity of the mining shows. I would like to know if a few sets are worth buying? The Mine # 4204. 109$ 89$ from 109$ Mines of Minora #9473 79$ from 99$ Lone Ranger Silver Mine Shootout #79110. 79$ from 99$ I know the others will fair well down the road, but #79110 seems risky since the Lone Ranger sets didn't do too well. Brickpicker has these sets on a descent but it hasn't been updated since Nov last year. Thoughts? Thx!
