So, from what I'm reading online, it would be better to invest in Amazon, than LEGO. lol. That sucks, legit.

Ah, guess I missed out Thanks for the info. I figured it had. Did a quick search and was brought here, didn't have the time or patience to browse all 101+ pages though lol

It's been a bit (like 3 years) since I've used Amazon.com for selling minifigs, etc. It's telling me I am not allowed to sell Toys and Games, but that I can submit an application to sell in that category, if I submit my supplier invoice and Children's Product Certification (CPC). Submit required documents At least 1 purchase invoice for products from a manufacturer or distributor Make sure your invoices: Dated on or after Jan 16, 2017 (within 180 days) Include your name and address Include the name and address of the manufacturer or distributor Show the combined purchase of at least 10 units Omit pricing information (optional) Children's Product Certificate (CPC) Children's Product Certificate (CPC) must meet the following requirements: Include product name and description Contain name of the manufacturer Include date and location where product was manufactured Include date and location where the product was tested Include name, address of the lab that conducted the testing Include the list of each consumer product safety regulation to which the product was certified f I thought they just didn't allow hobbyist like myself to sell between October and Christmas, but that appears to have changed. Since I buy the majority of my sets discounted through Amz, I'm not sure how that would go. Does anyone have suggestions? I would like to sell on Amazon if possible, but don't know if I should list them as a distributor, and certainly don't have a CPC... Lol. This is all changed and new to me. How have others dealt with this, or am I unique case?

I didn't think to check Brickset for that info! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction there! So you're telling me that if I flick a wad of ABC gum toward my calendar, that the date it lands on will magically turn into the retirement date? OR, will it just make a mess for my wife to clean up? Thanks! Yes, I figured that people were just trying to con innocent buyers/collectors there. I just wasn't aware of HOW to know if it was fact or fiction. Thanks again!

I've just recently gotten into the LEGO investing game after having picked up the [popular] Kindle book: Brickvesting, by Alex Stewart. After semi-learning the ropes of the sites mentioned in the book (including Brickpicker.com, which I visit, by far, the most), I still have the unanswered question, as to how you might figure out if a set will soon be retiring. I've seen the set years listed on the BP item pages, but there is no release date to get an idea of EOL, which I don't know if it's intentional, or just nobody knows the info. I've also tried the LEGO website. Ok, so what brings this up, is I recently bought 9516 - Jabba's Palace on-sale for $89.xx. As I was researching whether or not I should put down that chunk of change, I came across quite a few of the above named up for sale on eBay that list/advertise the set as RETIRED, or RARE, etc. Nowhere have I seen that this set is retired or "rare" at this point...even after researching the "Soon Retiring" section of the LEGO website. I'm just trying to get a feel for HOW to best know when a set gets released, so I can tactfully plan for investing before those nice juicy investment sets retire. Thanks for helping a newbie! -Hosa

Wal-Mart Clearance Items Stocked in Back of Store
Hosamov replied to Msudawgs56's topic in Walmart Deals
What I can say is I got an email today with a lot of Walmart Warehouse items on clearance: http://www.walmart.com/browse/toys/lego-rollbacks/4171_4186_1155736/?_refineresult=true&ic=48_0&path=0%3A4171&povid=cat4186-env434412-moduleB101513-lLinkMS1LEGORollbacks -
Zinger, Wow, thanks so much for the insight! I've looked at all the manuals shown in the pics and checked the used price averages via their PB pages (The ones I could figure out what they were ) and seems that quite a few might stand a chance IF the pieces are there or easy to acquire. I noticed a few of them are retired in there. I guess it will take me time to figure out what retired sets sell best (A definite learning curve, as I see it's a lot more work than I was expecting! Lol...) Also, the seller said they're going to dig all the minifigures out and count them for me so I can make my final decision. Of course, I didn't think of the risk that a dog or kid might have chewed the legs off some! That would seriously change things. I'm thinking in my situation as a NEW eBay seller that it might be a good idea to try and put them together for sale as used sets and build feedback at least. Plus it'll give me some idea what I'm in for if I go the used route. Again, sorry to bring this to the Pacific NW thread! I know it's like spam since it really has nothing to do with the pacific northwest. It's more my ignorance of lego and forums, as I haven't posted in one in eons. Thanks again so much for the help!!! -Hosamov

I noticed it had been there a couple weeks. They say it's approx 24 Lbs all Lego and no smoke. Yeah, I don't know if I wanna sort thru that many lego bricks. I don't have that sort of time. Then again, let me ask about the minifigures. IF most of the pieces and minifigs are there, it seems that it would definitely be worth the eBay market value to sort through and bricklink the missing pieces to sell. That's from a beginner though...

Sorry for double post. I noticed lots of minifigs and tons of sets. Hope it's not a scam cos it seems like a spanking good deal.

Ok, so here goes... if this doesn't go here, sorry! I'm wondering if it would be worth my time to look into this? Does it seem like a good deal by the add (To somebody with more experience than me?) I'm trying to get a feel for what's a good deal in USED lego sets or bulk sets. http://seattle.craigslist.org/oly/tag/4084994072.html I'm posting this here because I'm looking at cl in the pacific NW. Thx Edit: I asked to see if they were all LEGO and whether or not they smell of smoke. I guess it seems like a decent price for all the sets shown.

Lol! Well, Just Wal-Mart actually, cos Freddy's is just a grocery store here. I don't know how good of luck I'll have this Christmas season though at Wal-Mart because it's like a hub of Mason county. *crosses fingers* And I'll check out the thread. I had no idea there even was one.

Hi, it's nice to meet everybody on here! I've been a member on BP for a couple weeks now and have come across so many helpful articles by the members of this site, that have gotten me well on my way investing in LEGO (Having a blast)! I hope that some day I too can contribute to the community as so many others have. I look forward to getting to know everybody! Cheers! -Matt/Hosamov/Hosa
