  1. Thanks! Good to meet a local.
  2. Good point. It would have to be online sales since Craigslist sales around here are pretty tough unless things are deeply discounted. This listing has been posted a few times over the past few months.
  3. What do you guys think of this lot? http://sacramento.craigslist.org/tag/4006872573.html
  4. I just tackled this problem today on a bulk lot I bought. Mega bloks, tyco, and some extremely tiny blocks that look like colored grains of sand. Anyone know what those are?
  5. Had a slickdeals alert pop up for this, anyone interested? http://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Ninja-Turtles-Kraang-Lab-Escape-Play-Set/22081923?affillinktype=10&dest=9999999997&sourceid=20540942583800021396&veh=aff&wmlspartner=lw9MynSeamY
  6. I grabbed the last Orc forge at my target for 30% off. It didn't have a clearance tag but rang up at the discount...lucky break.
  7. These were going for ~100$ last Christmas but came back down to earth shortly after. I wonder if the same thing will happen this year.
  8. If the line does retire what are the general thoughts on investment opportunities? Good short/long term investment or something to stay away from?
  9. I love the service but recently noticed a couple of small annoyances: Smaller items I used to buy are now "add ons" and can't be shipped standalone. The lending library only works on kindle devices and only with the primary account. (I have the iPad and my wife has the kindle) Subscribe and save items don't ship at the 2 day speed. Just a few small quirks I didn't find out about until later. In general the shipping is awesome, I've even seen some items get delivered next day (I think there is a distribution center nearby).
  10. I think you hit the nail on the head, I do buy more online. I guess I shouldn't think that Lego would be an exception. . Do you find that, in a certain state/county/etc., clearance items vary based on the income level of the surrounding neighborhood? I was thinking about expanding my Target search radius to see if that's the case. California hasn't worked out well for the past few days as we have had 105+ temps. Anyone else experiencing heat waves?
  11. Hi all! I'm from the Sacramento area and have been following this site for a few weeks now. I really appreciate all of the great info I have found. I started building a collection for my son and hope that the investing part of this hobby can help fund that. I have enjoyed hunting down deals although my local Target/Walmart seem to be pretty stingy with the clearance items. Hopefully that changes over the next few weeks!
