I ended up just initiating a refund and that basically worked the same as cancelling and everything seems to be sorted out. So the guy that did this ended up doing it again to me on a different set. I did not ship the second set before the cancellation request came in so I was able to cancel after the fruitcake finally made up his mind. The first two images are from the first transaction the third image is from the second. I knew the guy was a little antsy so I didn't cancel immediately, I should have let it go all night to see how many messages he would have sent. I added him to my blocked list after I set the last message. Second transaction, he submitted a cancellation request and then sent this message.8 points

Saw this hilarious post on FB today: RETIRED HUSBAND After I retired, my wife insisted that I accompany her on her trips to Target. Unfortunately, like most men, I found shopping boring and preferred to get in and get out. Equally unfortunate, my wife is like most women - she loves to browse. Yesterday my dear wife received the following letter from the local Target: Dear Mrs. Harris, Over the past six months, your husband has caused quite a commotion in our store. We cannot tolerate this behavior and have been forced to ban both of you from the store. Our complaints against your husband, Mr. Harris, are listed below and are documented by our video surveillance cameras: 1. June 15: He took 24 boxes of condoms and randomly put them in other people's carts when they weren't looking. 2. July 2: Set all the alarm clocks in Housewares to go off at 5-minute intervals. 3. July 7: He made a trail of tomato juice on the floor leading to the women's restroom. 4. July 19: Walked up to an employee and told her in an official voice, 'Code 3 in Housewares. Get on it right away'. This caused the employee to leave her assigned station and receive a reprimand from her Supervisor that in turn resulted with a union grievance, causing management to lose time and costing the company money. 5. August 4: Went to the Service Desk and tried to put a bag of M&Ms on layaway. 6. August 14: Moved a 'CAUTION - WET FLOOR' sign to a carpeted area. 7. August 15: Set up a tent in the camping department and told the children shoppers he'd invite them in if they would bring pillows and blankets from the bedding department to which twenty children obliged. 8. August 23: When a clerk asked if they could help him he began crying and screamed, 'Why can't you people just leave me alone?' EMTs were called. 9.. September 4: Looked right into the security camera and used it as a mirror while he picked his nose. 10. September 10: While handling guns in the hunting department, he asked the clerk where the antidepressants were. 11. October 3: Darted around the store suspiciously while loudly humming the ' Mission Impossible' theme. 12. October 6: In the auto department, he practiced his 'Madonna look' by using different sizes of funnels. 13. October 18: Hid in a clothing rack and when people browsed through, yelled 'PICK ME! PICK ME!' 14. October 21: When an announcement came over the loud speaker, he assumed a fetal position and screamed 'OH NO! IT'S THOSE VOICES AGAIN!' And last, but not least: 15. October 23: Went into a fitting room, shut the door, waited awhile, then yelled very loudly, 'Hey! There's no toilet paper in here.' One of the clerks passed out.5 points

Unfortunately I don't see this getting any better. Amazon wants turnover. They are getting far more money by volume + fee's versus the small increments in pricing + storage cost. The buy box logic/unfair pricing are the primary drivers that would make me quit selling. There are many risks/reasons not too, but not being able to move product due to a systemic purposeful policy implementation is a business killer. There are so many listings that are 20-30% less profitable due to the sticky price problem which makes the business model invalid. I had thousands of the Mario Cat suit and Fire suits. I was moving hundreds a month at 40-50 and then one day. All the listings were removed and the price was stuck at 15$. With everything else it's impossible to operate a business like this on Amazon without a free market. It's not like collectibles are required medical devices the policy is stupid.3 points

I just got my Transylvania set dropped off. The UPS driver was more excited than me. : "Happy Building!" "Thanks!" "That's a Bricklink order, right?" "Yep!" "Awesome, I love it! Have a nice day!" Unexpected reaction but checks out....2 points

Go to Orders -> Shipping Labels. For the order that you canceled, choose Actions. There should be a drop down with a choice to Cancel label. Then you wait 2-3 weeks for USPS to verify and refund postage. I probably should charge money for my arcane eBay knowledge2 points

Anyone tracking this: supposedly, some sets on sale at Lego.com starting tomorrow...2 points

I also have it for free also, if they ever offer you a free year you should take it because they give you something free every month usually around $10. My guess is that it’ll be 30% off for everyone tomorrow because it says it expires today for members.2 points

Some good deals at Target and in the app if you have Target Circle 360, an additional 30% off some decent sets2 points

Already back ordered online and sold out at most brick and mortar. I’m surprised the resellers on here were dissing this set. It’s an exclusive, budget friendly Star Wars set that will be sold out for the holidays. Seems like a winner to me.2 points

Since GWPs can't be listed on Amazon anymore, the resale appeal has gone way down. I used to buy a lot of sets just to get cool GWPs to sell and offset some of the cost, but not any more. It will be interesting to see just how big of an effect this has on the future of GWPs.1 point

This is live now on lego.com for a 2 week window (and was live for a bit on shopDisney). I'm thinking there might be a high inventory of this available and the race to the bottom could be quick? I actually want to get multiples because I like this set so I'm thinking maybe wait for direct purchase vs gwp?1 point

I never tried it but was reading the SD thread and the biggest benefit seems to be you get to select a monthly free reward like $10 in free food or household supplies. I already spent the $50 they had a 25% off any toy and cancelled the renewal.1 point

First round that I'm sitting out on too. More to do with a general malaise I've been feeling toward LEGO lately, added to the fact that I've been shifting my spending more into Pokemon cards (when I can find them) these days.1 point

Ever listen to early Alan Parsons Project? Alan Parsons was the soundboard engineer for Pink Floyd's Dark Side Of The Moon and The Beatles Abbey Road albums, among others. These are from his Tales of Mystery and Imagination album. All songs were based on Edgar Allan Poe stories.1 point

Someone posted this on amazon forums From Google's Gemini: No, Amazon does not treat all third-party sellers fairly; many sellers report experiencing unfair competition from Amazon itself, including allegations of product cloning, manipulation of search results, and opaque, automated account suspension processes. While Amazon states it offers choice and opportunity, and some sellers thrive, these practices and systemic issues can be financially damaging, making the platform a complex and sometimes hostile environment for third-party businesses. Before selling on Amazon all new sellers should go to Google and type in "does Amazon treat 3P sellers fairly" and read the entire summary. From there you might also want to Google: "Is Amazon an ethical company?" and "Is Amazon a corrupt company?" This is not your father's river; the water is choppy and there is no lifeguard on duty, enter these waters with care.1 point

I submitted that question but to this point it hasn't been answered. This whole situation just feels like a giant money making scheme to me. Here's how I picture this all got started .... (my opinion only) Vorys hires a smart guy to track a specific reseller online to help win "a" case. Light bulb goes off and they develop a software that can track a multitude of products and resellers for future cases. Being the leaches they are, sit around a table and say "Time to cash in and bro down!". They put together a PowerPoint with loose case law and a broad list of accusations that could apply to many different brands and head on down to the local trade show. Meanwhile, one of the attorneys developing said master plan calls his buddy from law school over at AmazonSellersLawyers.com (more on this later) and tells him to add content to their website claiming to combat the Vorys letters. Saying something to the effect of "This is going to be big! Don't miss out!" and jokingly asks for a referral fee. Walking around the the trade show is a poor innocent Lego representative minding his own business when all of a sudden a Vorys monkey pops out and does his sales dance. Beating him down with fancy charts and lawyer speak ... using words like streamlined, cost effective and produces made up RESULTS! until he finally agrees to "talk to his manager". The Lego manager decides to employee this strategy, not because they want to sue a bunch of unauthorized resellers, its because they want to be able to tell their pissed off and winey authorized resellers they are doing something to help them compete. (exit opinion) As for AmazonSellersLawyers.com, I took advantage of their free consultation and man was I impressed! I never actually got to talk to one of their attorneys but their sales team had all the right answers ... and for a flat fee of $3500! How could I pass this up!? In all seriousness though, they did nothing wrong, it was just my gut telling me something wasn't right after they called me 3 straight days seemingly begging for my retainer. I had to tell them I retained someone else to get her to stop calling. She also made it seem like they were very friendly with the Vorys which turned me off ... I wanted a shark, not a minnow. Regardless of my opinion it's pretty easy to see who's the main beneficiary from sending hundreds of C&D letters ... Vorys. I'm sure their eControl is working quite well ... resellers with very little stake are dropping out with nothing more than a whine and the outright thieves run and hide. These numbers are then presented as proof to whatever story needs to be told. The fact that Lego hasn't sued anyone selling legitimate Lego product tells me dragging a bunch of people to court is not their intent and why we're choosing to hold our ground. When I was a kid Lego was a "Toy" but now as an adult its a "Collectible". You can't have collectibles without a secondary market and with that comes the reseller. Lego should be embracing us and the value we add to their brand name. Lego customers will continue to pay inflated prices as long as the perceived value continues to go up. You're welcome. Vorys planning their pitch meeting to Lego...1 point
