  1. Just finished 10243 Parisian restaurant. 3rd modular build after PC and PS. By far the best so far! The roof section is just gorgeous. I'd buy that by itself Had a bit of help from my 4 year old which was fun

  13. Picked up a couple things yesterday. I think everything was talked about and shown via other threads. Only thing I didn't mention yesterday was the Sea Cow. Don't own any LM sets but I saw it on offerup and decided to buy it. Got it for 220 Sealed. Noticed used ones going for 300 so I figured it was a good price!

  14. If you browse around some of the top results, you'll find they're frequently sellers who have a surprisingly lean "item specifics". There's dozens variables that drive search results - not all of them are known, and certainly the algorithm eBay applies to weight those variables is a mystery. I've spent over a year trying to map it out, but it changes too consistently to make any meaningful progress. The one thing we do know is Title, Description (html headers in particular), click-through rates, and sales conversion rates are primary drivers for search rankings. Click-through & Sales conversion rates apply at both the listing and seller levels (i.e., if you've got a poor rate, that would be held against a new individual listing you post). Item Specifics are factored as well, but it appears to be a bit indirect - useful for shopping searching by category to find the item, but potentially held against you in generic searches. The quantity, price, & format (duration, shipping/return policy, etc) of a listing are factored as well - typically when "all other things being relatively equal". I could go on for several paragraphs - but frankly it's all prone to eBay system changes. The simplest key to driving your listings higher in search results: 1. Manage Impressions (Views) - Use Title keywords that would correlate strongly to people searching for your item, but not to unrelated searches. Lots of impressions but low click-through/sales (people scrolling right past your listing in searches it does pop up in) buries you. 2. Drive Click-Through with appealing photos & prices - this leads people to at least take a closer look at your item. 3. Drive Sales Conversion Rates with overall listing quality & competitive prices - you want to be converting around 5-10% of those click throughs into sales. If you do those 3 things well, all the rest becomes an afterthought. Not surprisingly, eBay priorities search results based on listings & sellers most likely to result in sales - and it's far easiest for them to predict that based on #1-3.

  18. Built the City Rally Car 60013, Liked the shape and styling of the car, reminded me of some of the old B class cars from the 80s for some reason. Maybe it was the spot lights on the front or a wide body kit. Anyway, Loved the Built and not a bad price either at £6.

  19. Hello to everybody! I am Federico from Italy... I have always been a super Lego Fan... In the last few years, after discovering in my parents' attic 114 vintage sets with boxes (even if all mixed up eheheh) I started hunting down ALL Castle and Classic Town sets in their (European) boxes (not MISB...so my collection can be defined as a Back in Box collection) for the period 1978-2000. I also collect the USA versions that have a different code (i.e. 588 vs 381) and US exclusives (575, 590 etc. etc.). I am not far from achieving the first goal (a full set of 1978-1988 castle and town sets) even if I am missing several value packs and some hard to find sets! I am very picky when I check the sets...I try, to the best of my knowledge, to complete them with the right bricks from the correct age (hollow torsos, full back pegs etc etc) I DEFINITELY LOVE VINTAGE LEGO SETS...They take me back to the old good times when I was a happy child! My favourite sets are 375/6075 1592 and 1589! Ciao FEDERICO

  20. Finished up the last of our CL find...The SW Snowspeeder 75049. The two At-Ats are in trouble now that we have built their nemesis. Lol. Fun little build...but probably wouldn't be worth the $68 price these are going for on Amazon or the $50 price elsewhere.

  21. I couldn't agree with you more, I'm still kicking myself for not buying AMZN 2-3 years ago when it was only $350 $375ish. The Telltale signs are all those major retailers closing stores across USA. Who wants to drive, park, and shop? I see malls turning into Quasi-amusement parks. Only entertainment, restaurants and specialty stores. I see Amazon warehouses every 5-10 miles like MickeyDs.

  22. The only thing that can stop Amazon is going to be laws against monopolies. Nobody else is going to come close to being able to build a 3 hour nationwide fulfillment network with hundreds of millions of products in the catalog. Some things are here to stay - Google, Amazon, and Tom Brady.

  23. Technically you are only responsible for shipping up to the distribution center. Although depending on the values of the sets and the feedback rating of the buyer, I'd be more concerned about the possibility of scam if I were you.

  31. Yes, I have gotten all of the Nexo sets available at TRU for "Free" using my rewards. As @fossilrock said why don't you chill out on the negativity. Perhaps take a self imposed time out and build a lego set for fun. If you lived in the USA I would send you a Fortrex.

  37. Wait, what? The AFOL in me understands your underlying sentiment, but you can't honestly blame LEGO for producing too many, and I quote "play sets that LEGO has an unhealthy love for." l like the big display sets as well, but they are indeed a TOY company. It's not a stretch to think some kids might get more enjoyment playing with their toys than starring at them in a display case. _________ Also, in reference to not seeing any sails on the box "art", I will leave you with this image of the Dying Gull snapped during the filming:

  38. Nabbed about 80 Dimensions packs at the 99 cents store. Mostly homer level packs as that was the best value, but also a few Bart, Bad cop, and Chima ones. Using about 30 as my GWP for the following month and parting out and listing the others. Already sold 13 Homers for $6.98 and a few fun packs for $5.98 on BL, buyers paid shipping. Not bad, as that pretty much paid off the others. Best deal there however was the Odwalla bars, they were 2/$1

  40. If the owner of the account is setup as a business then when the business is sold the amazon account goes with it. I'd say most accounts are worth alot more than $999. Just getting ungated for one brand is $1k+. Once Amazon captures 80% of online sales (double what they are now) and 3 hour delivery is standard for most Prime customers (thru Flex workers and Amazon crushing UPS and Fedex with its own delivery network) then an established account is going to be worth alot of money. Of course Amazon could always just let everybody sell everything again but I'd say they are moving in the opposite direction and even more restrictions will be put in place over time to keep the quality of the platform up to Bezos's standards. 3 hour delivery nationwide is only going to be possible through FBA and commingled so Amazon is vetting for that eventuality. One thing to remember when selling on Amazon is that that the level of customer service that Amazon itself provides to it's customers should be your minimum as a 3P seller. Personally we make Amazon look like TRU when it comes to customer service. Make yourself valuable to Amazon and they will let keep giving you access to their well heeled customers and innovative platform. This company and ecommerce is in its infancy. At the end if you are onboard even the sky is not the limit.

  42. I assume everybody is getting the message that they can't print their rewards. Been happening since at least Monday. I created a new rewards account just now with random info and am getting the same message so likely not ban related. Hope it gets cleared up soon before my $200 rewards start to expire.

  46. The more I reflect on Rogue One, the more I think Disney missed an opportunity by revealing Vader in the trailers. Star Wars fans were going to see it no matter what. They didn't need the teaser. Imagine the reaction in the theater as you approach his castle and when you see him for the first time in the tank. That's goosebumps material. Instead you are stuck analyzing his suit for consistency and question his choke cliche remark to Krennic. Imagine the impression the final scene leaves you when you have no expectations of a Vader appearance. Most of us were expecting something from Vader but I can only wonder how more impactful it would have been with zero expectations. A missed opportunity. It's why the Leia scene works. You see her from behind and immediately you move to the edge of your seat. When she turns around it's pure magic, a capstone to an already great film. You don't look for imperfections in her face. You just smile and feel like you are a kid again ... ready for a New Hope.
