  1. 41135 Livi's Pop Star House for $5. Crazy insane Shopko clearance. Found it this morning and had to check all of my other Shopkos before I posted. Sadly, that's the only one I found for $5. I found two more for $35 each after stacking the $10 off $50 coupon, which I purchased as well.

  2. Today was a good day. Walmart #1: Walmart - 41101 Heartlake Grand Hotel - $64 (battered box, closed seals) Then popped into Target and found one of the Ultimate Nexo Knights my son was still missing: Target - 70338 Ultimate General Magmar - $4.98 Paid it forward by tipping off a mom who was shopping for her son's birthday that the King Pig Castle was $44.98 (they had 2 mint boxes), she promptly added it to the full-price U-wing she already had in her cart. Also found 2x41111 Friends Party Train for $5.03 each (weird price, you'd have expected $4.98 as that's a more common clearance price, but this was 30% off $7.19, which on its own was likely already a sale price as MSRP is $9.99) Target - 2x41111 Friends Party Train - $5.03 each Because of those 2x41111 I decided to go all in and go back to my honey-hole WM to see if the remaining 3x41111 and the 4x41171 I spotted there on Sunday and left ($5 each, only took one 41111 for my daughter that day) were still there. Yes they were, in exactly the same neat vertically stacked piles as I had left them (after contemplating buying them on Sunday and scouring the shelves for more copies). Just for fun, as I was scanning other items which were on clearance but didn't drop in price, I ran them through the price scanner and lo-and-behold, they rang up $2.50. Needless to say I loaded them all into my cart. Walmart - 3x41111 Friends Party Train - $2.50 each Walmart - 4x41171 Emily Jones and the Baby Wind Dragon - $2.50 each I promised my wife to pick up a free Christmas Tote at Meijer ($4.24 on clearance, plus 20% off clearance, plus a rewards coupon) so I checked out the LEGO aisle there. Nothing really interesting (there was another small-scale LEGO reseller browsing, he was price checking several items and had the one and only T-Rex Tracker in the store in his cart). Noticed a small basket with some Mixels in it on clearance for $3.99 (25% off). On a whim decided to see what complete series they had and walked away with 8 out of 9 Series 9 Mixels. Had to drive to my other 2 Meijers, which each hardly had any Mixels left, to find the last one (Mysto) in the third Meijer. Meijer - Complete set of series 9 mixels - $19.12 (after 20% off clearance and some rewards coupons (~$9)) Then I headed out to play poker with my friends and managed to win, which paid for most of my purchases.

  6. Found on CL for $65 (had it shipped). 7893 Passenger Plane from 2006. NISB. Front of box has a minor crease at the bottom. Box is in good shape for its age and the seals are intact. I am happy with my find and with not having to leave the house to get it! Would have had to drive 1 ½ hours one way for pick-up.

  8. I think BA's TRU is an exception. They treat him like Eddie Murphy in that undercover SNL skit where he's at the news stand and they are offended when he tries to pay. "What are you doing? Take it, just take it, it's ok, take it."

  13. Hi guys, just a quick update but a micro build I am very pleased with! I have wanted to build a micro Falcon for sometime now and this actually took a bit longer than I had hoped but I am really happy with the end result. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr Its only 4x4 but I have managed to get in all the details that make the Falcon the iconic ship it is. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The base wasn't part of my original idea but I had the Falcon on a tan plate just as a random support and suddenly thought it would look quite cool if there was a micro Mos Eisley below. Untitled by dimitrinicomanis, on Flickr The colour of the Falcon is white because as a kid to me it was always white, the toys might have got the colours wrong but they just stuck with me!

  16. Not sure if anyone mentioned it, but you still get 100% points back on Smart Sense products for purchases in the stores they are liquidating. Only 10% off right now, but it might go up today. I'll have to stop in later.

  21. Media Mail guidelines are pretty clear. Paraphrasing here as I am not able to verify now, but when I started selling I read the description and knew immediately I couldn't ship commercial materials using Media Mail. I think it explains how this is intended for contracts etc. (paperwork).

  22. Holy crap that's dumb. But I get the strict point they are going with. But that's dumb. Edit to add: my kid's Curious George books wouldn't qualify either, since they have a "other Curious George books" set of pictures on the back cover. Not shooing the messenger. Just think they are dumb.

  23. what that means is they determined that you are on the hook to refund. but have accepted your representation that you are going to refund once you get the item back. a. depending on the adjuster: i believe you have/are going to wait for the item back. b. if you provide the return tracking number on your representation and if it went through return authorization you are on the hook for refund until you get the item back. case will stay in that state until you get the item back. as soon as they see that item reached you they will send you reminder something like. ===========================================The buyer of order XXXXXXXXX confirms they returned the merchandise to you for a refund and you have confirmed receipt of the return.Within 3 business days, please issue a refund through your selling account and respond to confirm the refund. If you do not refund and respond in 3 business days, your account will be debited for the full order amount. The return of merchandise is covered by the A-to-Z Guarantee. ===========================================

  25. I only started buying last month when the sales hit. Ended up with a half dozen which is a lot for me these days. Only 40 sellers on amz. 75 or so on ebay. Seems low. I honestly thought I had it high enough on amz that no one would buy it. Not really in sell mode now but always have some overpriced stuff listed.

  37. On the home screen they're advertising 50% back in points on furniture purchases. But many things, like bookcases, are on sale. But it looks like it gives back points on the original price, or maybe some of the other deals like the white sale are stacking. Either way, many items are giving 75+% points back. Does say $100 limit, but I just bought a $200 desk and got 140,000 points back. I'll keep ya updated. And 2 chairs for $80 with 72k points back. Free shipping

  38. These sets are crack for kids. I love how they have to give 20 different villians separated in what seems 20 different vehicles! Overall, I have to admit, after seeing a display with all the different sets, and allowing my son to buy about 10 packs of the mini's.... I can't see myself saying "no" to a bunch of the sets once the movie hits. I think this will be Lego's biggest theme this year, by far. Lego has nailed it with this movie, and toy line rollout IMO.

  39. Had a bit of a fun at TRU today... Wanted to buy the Rebel Combat Frigate (75158) for the Ahsoka fig and to part out the rest so my plan was to price match Lego.com and use 2 of my discounted giftcards from my stash to bring the price to a more reasonable place. In store it was $129.99, Lego.com is 109.99. The rep at Customer Service INSISTED that they're not allowed to price match Lego.com and I kept showing her the terms on the TRU website. Eventually she called a manager and he agreed with me once he saw the website. So that was settled. Then I wanted to also get the Krypto polybag that was supposed to be free with purchase as per the website and circular. They didn't have any of the signage for the deal up though, so the manager didn't believe me. After 20 minutes of him calling back and forth with another manager, he said he'd try to put the polybag through. It wouldn't scan though because he says I was price matching (don't know if that's true or not). I told him to forget the polybag, that I would purchase that separately. He rang me up, price matched to 109.99, scanned my rewards card, and then gave me the TRUTH discount on top of the price match without me asking! I thought their systems didn't allow price matching and TRUTH to combine? Ended up getting the Frigate for $87.50 out the door so I'm not gonna complain...
