  1. On Amazon: 1/7/15 66 sellers, lowest price $323.99 ONE WEEK LATER (TODAY) 1/14/15 48 sellers, lowest price $399.99 + 8.49 shipping IMO, this will easily be a $500 set by next Christmas (2015).

  3. Even if they did stop production on previous WV sets, I'd wager this would be the first to "sell out" in between production runs. That's Gold Jerry!

  4. Yeah, it was so popular last year that FAO Schwarz was giving away the $80 7347 Highway Pickup Truck with a purchase of the Palace Cinema to entice people into buying them.

  5. Please use a more muscular image in referring to me in the future. Thanks. The irony Is I was in honors English and advanced writing classes throughout school life. I can write very well. But, I'm way too lazy to do so on here, or in text. Seems like a lot of work.

  8. Its hard to believe Lego is telling a few people that the Pet Shop will be out 1-2 more years, end of 2015 it will be out over 4 years,I see the Pet Shop retiring sometime this year and I don't think that the Cinema Palace is done this year, that will make that set a little over 2 years, and its still sells very well.

  9. I agree with runormal too many windows on the toy shop and a false roof. It just looks and feels cheap. I prefer the beach hut it has a nice roof and some neat display features. I would recommend picking this one up on sale to build.

  10. I know it's not a highly talked about line here, but the master builder academy sets seem to be done for. 2 of the 5 in the series are on the official 'retiring soon' page. All 5 of them have been out of stock on LEGO Shop at Home for some time. I bought the entire collection for my kid this past year. They might not be the best dollar per brick value, but they're nicely done sets. I also picked up a couple in the wild (Barnes and Noble is the only place I could find them) to keep for investment. I have a feeling these could be a sleeper, especially in the non-US areas where these weren't ever available.

  13. Miracles do happen.. 4 TH from TRU order place early AM on 1/10 actually shipped today.. Was waiting on cancellation like the last ones I caught but this time they shipped. Am I concerned there is only one tracking number? Maybe just a little.. Also, received all my Rovers today. Seals older than my previous batch, all 51S3. No new run, sorry.

  14. I thought that surely, with a Star Wars movie coming out, Lego wouldn't discontinue the set they have with one of the most iconic Star Wars character's in it (r2d2) but they did. Now I am done with the f5game. if it's been out for a while, and I like it, I am buying it. If I hold it for a while, well, at least I have time to acquire them with discount giftcards and the like as opposed to f5ing for retail. And the fact that everything else has restocked, but this hasn't, scares me.

  16. If you missed it in another thread, here is my war story knowledge I learned flipping polybags (the other seller is the master and I'm the padawan, but I am learning) If you are selling multiples of the same item (RR poly) you can do the following: Set your preferences so that you can quantity remain at zero (with selling set price using good till cancelled option). You can then sell at a lower than you want price 2 or 3 sales, this will get you on the radar and get people following your auction. You then can raise your price to where you want it to be and it will still show that you have sold 2 or 3 (but doesn't show lower price). You are now down showing "last one" because you only listed a handful. People use their panic and buy your last one at that price. Once it sells, just revise auction to quantity of 1 and you are once gain selling your "last one" This only works on good till cancelled auctions and only if you change your setting to allow it Hope that helps someone here Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Brickpicker mobile app

  20. Many on here will call me crazy, but when I found that Simpsons House at Target the first thing I did once I got home was cut the seals and verify it. I've sold plenty of "open box, sealed bag" sets for 98%-100% of the sealed box rate. I would rather take a 2% hit than ship out a box like Trek found to a buyer.

  21. Bah, Went back today to grab some more Cruisers but they had been cleaned out! Should have grabbed more, but didn't have a cart and only so much to carry. Massakassa i can't comment on the locations in that area as i'm located far west GTA. Mississauga/Oakville/Burlington has been mostly check by myself though.

  22. My strategy in the hangar was always guns, guns, and more guns especially with the light to medium range mechs. Assault and heavy I tried to max speed with a few good weapons and ammo. In MechWarrior 2 I had fun with pretty much any weapon, MechWarrior 3 was mainly large lasers and PPCs, MechWarrior 4 I'm not really sure (mostly autocannons I think). Things got to a point where missiles didn't seem that effective anymore. My memory is a bit foggy on the specific tech layouts really. I did love creating those bizarre setups for "instant action" like a fast mech packed with nothing but flamers and heat sinks. Fire them all off at once, the enemy blows up from the heat and sometimes (or a lot) so did I.

  23. OMG the beach set does close to form a hut ??? This changes everything, I thought it was a tiny playset with two walls, and that's it ! My interest in this set has gone from zero to over 9,000 !

  24. The seller is not Leba House Pub.. That is a mistake in the listing where the mfg name should be "Lego". Has nothing to do with the current seller.. Well, unless the current seller happens to be Leba House Pub. lol

  27. no its not. http://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Creator-Expert-Parisian-Restaurant/dp/B00HQIZBE4/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1421248700&sr=8-1-spell&keywords=parisian+restaurtant PR is available from walmart and target. it is also the new smaller box with higher MSRP. PS and PC have larger boxes which under new shipping rules will cost more to send. they also have lower MSRP so lower margins for these sets overall. i doubt PC will retire without a restock of target, walmart etc. some investors like to have stock targets complete before the panic buying begins. panic buying for some is more of a way to eliminate future competition than meeting stock goals.

  30. The Tower Bridge is entirely repetitive, but I still had fun building that. And honestly, it's not the building that I'm interested in. It's the entire model itself. I build and display all my Legos, and I already have the SOH, and TB, and really want to build this set.

  31. I'm thinking of doing the same. With the possibility of sets being the norm of retiring out of order (TH), it makes you want to at least buy one of each and just hold. I'd hate to hold too long though. I guess if it's been out a year or two then that's not as bad as getting it as a new release.

  36. The sets I have on eBay are priced higher than $119.95. I refuse to budge, because I've sold at higher numbers. I think the market got saturated for awhile. I'm well in the black, so I don't mind holding out. I've been successful selling the odd set here and there on BL. It's priced lower, but with the lower fees, I've been clearing more selling there than on eBay. I also charge shipping on BL, but I don't charge shipping on eBay.

  38. I too have seen open minifig packets (Simpsons) at Target, some just opened to see which one it is, and a few empty packs too. Made me feel guilty, as I was feeling then up to get my last one (Nelson). I managed to get em all with no doubles. People tend to look at you strange when you are a grown man fondling Lego packets.

  39. Here is an overhead pic of what the setup looks like and a cropped photo of a set using this system. No flash, just the lights in a dark office with no real bright light. Its 2 copy stands side by side with 3 overhead lights (can get away with 2 its just for my jewelry listings). The lights are dirt cheap on ebay. The copy stands with 2 lights are about $125-150 on ebay. You can buy used copy stand and lights though. For big sets out of your house 2 would be needed to make it work for exclusives. At our warehouse where most of our listings are done its a custom station made out of of door with a large white fabric that goes up and all the way down so it eliminates anything but the item after the crops. There we just use the light put out with our normal office light but same principal for if you have a small space and want to take crisp photos for your listings.

  40. Built this set last week and agree that it's very nice. We have it displayed on our mantle. I hope there's another version with some new birds coming soon. For everyone with cats please give them a big hug when you get home today. We just learned today our youngest (<2 yrs old) has FIP and may only have a week to live. We had no idea this was coming other than that she wasn't her usual self the last few weeks until I took her into the vet today. It puts Lego investing and other issues much into perspective.

  41. Who knows how reliable it is, but for comparisons sake - SAH went out of stock with Farnsworth House in... April. B&******.com still has them, and they still float in and out of stores. I hope Fallingwater doesn't repeat that cycle, but I can't exactly say I would be surprised if it did. Arch sets are HUGE sellers at B&******, I was really surprised when I saw how many my local store had piled high pre Christmas, and even more surprised to see they all sold. So they may have a good stock of these piled up. I still think it's a great set and will show good returns, it is just a question of when. Robie house went out of SAH Dec 2013, and I think by Feb 2014 B&****** was gone - a much higher price point, as Fallingwater is more expensive than Farnsworth, so who knows. I will say this, if White House ever shows signs of EOL, I may buy a million of them.

  43. God bless these guys for wanting to deal with this and some of you. It is a brand new site and only open a few days and I see one guy throwing a hissy fit that there is no guest mode, then another one shoving it in their face of "too bad you won't get my listings now" instead of offerering to something like "Hey, having an issue with paypal, I will work with you to troubleshoot it" I think it looks great and so far so good for me. I will be listing some sets very soon. I had no issue with paypal or the simple registration process.
