  2. Jeff and his programming minions are making nice progress on the Classifieds. I feel really bad always saying this because I've been saying it for a long time, but the newest version looks and works great. There are just do many small details that always need to be addressed when dealing with money. It has to be done right or people will lose faith immediately. I will just leave you with one main idea of the Classifieds...We are seller friendly.

  5. Guess what decided to surface this fine afternoon? Don't really care for all the stickers... But otherwise I really like it! EDIT: Video seems to not want to work... Link is correct. If you would like to see the pictures check out Just2Good's channel on Youtube. Pictures are NOT confidential.

  6. I'm very sorry that you're having to deal with this. Has your other account been suspended as well? While I think our favorite amphibian will be best able to answer your questions (you may want to PM Frog) I will say that I never use stock photos. I have also never heard of an account being suspended for the reasons you cite.

  7. I'm reckoning that the Macks' mean GOOD seller friendly. Buttheads and scammers will be shown the door with a boot unless I miss my guess. With a seller friendly environment, more sellers are attracted, which means more competition, better prices for buyers, and lots of good sellers to choose from. I call that pretty buyer friendly and look forward to buying here.

  12. I bought an Imperial Flagship 10210 used missing three small pieces but comes with manual and box for $150 on ebay from a 1 feedback seller, doh. I figured I would take that chance as it was too good to pass up.. It showed as shipped just now. Keeping the fingers crossed.

  14. I think it's one of the best promos ever released by LEGO. Very cute and classic at the same time.

  15. I have almost finished building mine. Had a very similar issue to you and thought I was missing a couple of those same 1x2 tiles. Turns out in the step before or a few before you put two tiles on some sort of a hinge piece that clips on next to each seat kind of like a mini control panel (sorry set is at home and I'm not so hard to describe exactly). In that step it was supposed to be the printed keyboards used and not the blank tiles, it was hard to tell without looking very closely in decent light. That meant I then had the 10 free for the step with the seats.

  16. I've seen similar deals in my city. All of them were a scam. If the prices are too good to be true, they usually are.

  17. Decision making time. A good % of 10123 Cloud City's current value is due to it's Boba Fett. I believe only Leia and Lando are exclusives now w/o refreshes or can be made from other minifig parts. Hmmm. By the way, yet another set Ed named before other people. update : luke's legs are still exclusive to this set. at least 10123's fett's arms are still unique (not reused with this set).

  21. The coupon code is 941612846. Says it's good on toys and much of the Lego is on sale. Might stack nicely but unfortunately their mobile site scums and won't show me more than 10 sets.

  23. Looks great. Piece count is a lot better than I had heard. I was worried it would be in the 1500 range like they had done a couple of times which at a 200$ price point is not very good.

  26. Originally the WV sets lasted 3 years, but the more recent releases have only lasted 2. Therefore, this is likely the last season for the Market. Here is a recap with my order of desirability. The Market is tied for last, but that's sort of like being the ugliest girl at the Miss America pageant. It's still pretty hot. (btw I love this theme.) #3 Toy Shop 3 Years, #4 Bakery 3 years, #5 Post Office 2 years, #1 Cottage 2 years, #5 Market 2 years?, #2 Santa Workshop ?

  30. Ed was sharing his opinion. To a few European members, Can we stop with making this personal. Honestly, I respect my European friends, love traveling to Europe (5 visits since 2007) and Lego collectors but honestly, I still couldn't care less about non-US data despite 25% of my sales coming from Europe. However, know who cares about non-US data? JEFF AND ED CARE. Brickpicker currently share news from Euro centric Lego web sites, links, Ads, deals, and oh yeah, the price guide contains non-US sales data. That data is pretty expansive. We also welcome non-US constructive threads. So please cease with getting defensive with the US vs. Euro talk. Brickpicker is by far a very friendly and informative GLOBAL web site. Please keep this thread on-topic.

  31. Yes, there clearly is a difference between US and EU/Asia/Australia/etc. However, does this mean the thread had to be moved/closed? As us europeans are in the minority on this site. I believe we paid a more than fair contribution to the thread. For us europeans and other continents except US the discussion is still alive and kicking. So I do not quite understand the reasoning above. I am still curious if there is some data available on how the members geographically are divided. Which % are americans, Ausies, etc. On a side note: I think reselling is not more of an American Phenomena. For example the dutch have had a longer trading history. The story even goes we traded New Amsterdam (currently New York).

  32. I am thinking the same way. Keep in mind that Europe always is a bit "behind" on the US. It takes a bit more time here to appreciate. This has advantages but it means we (Europeans) just have to wait a bit longer to sell. In Europe people seem to be a bit more conservative in spending money and they watch the cat from the tree first. If this set will get the retired tag at ShopatHome it will do just fine.

  33. My first flip was from a treehouse into an above ground swimming pool when I was very young. Well, at least I made it into the pool. I didn't flip much after that....unless you want to count 'the bird'. On a more related note, I remember back when I did the whole auction thing years ago that I had purchased a box lot of odd glassware some of which were really old 'carnival glass' for dirt cheap. I ended up selling everything separately to individuals for more than I paid. Heck, just one of the pieces turned out to be so rare that it paid for the whole lot by itself. I did keep one of the items because it was this nice deep aqua greenish hue plus it looks nice in the bathroom.

  34. Same as Stud-u-like, how did you guys manage that! Where did you buy them from? I had mine very close to MSRP, hence the need to wait much longer to make the whole thing worth while! I just bought one of them at

  35. You do always remember your first. For me it was Hulk's helicarrier. Bought at 35 sold at 90 plus shipping. Still remember the moment the phone went ca-ching. Pulled it out and went 'wow it sold' Congrats almost 1000% return after all is said and done. Wish they all were like that.

  36. Sold a 10133 BNSF GP-38 Locomotive, NISB for $330. This was my first foray into buying a retired set, that already had some value associated with it, and flipping it for more. Found it on Goodwill a few months ago. Couldn't pass it up, and bought it at about $220. Not a bad return on 3 months hold.

  39. It is now back down to the 28th. I am going to go ahead and buy 2 more, (a total of 4). Seeing that it is close to a 50$ increase in just the last month, I would recommend for other people who have not already bought this set to do it as soon as possible.

  41. Just wait. Some lego outlets have as much as 80 cases in the stockroom and they are not selling. Same with simpsons house. I used to buy all the box damage ones with the bonus pts and promos and there never ending. If there not selling at that price which amounts to about 155 after the extra points and poly I think there definitely heading down before up. Not saying they wont long term but something that you should see a better price on later on

  42. Exact same deal here: 3.5 year old and a 3.5 month old, plus the wife. In fact, I don't think she realizes to what extent I am into this hobby as everything is tucked away in bins every night...
