  1. those look like them exploding bombs you see in cartoons and video games
  2. I have built the Eiffel Tower and Pac-Man arcade since Insider's weekend. As with most of the big Icons/Architecture type sets, the build is a slog with the Eiffel Tower. End result is amazing, but it's not a particularly fun build, ala the Colosseum. PacMan was fun from start to finish and the workings behind how they created the game board are really cool. I'd suggest this set to anyone, especially those of us older that actually played these types of arcades as kids. It will go well with my Nintendo and have the Atari to build at some point as well. I really want to MOC up a Pitfall type board for another TV similar to the Mario for the Nintendo, but not sure I have the building chops to do it.
  3. I feared the same and wasn't going to open the box. However, I believe we can reposition this thing correctly. This is not a castle for medieval adults but makes perfect sense as a medieval rich kid's playground. I'm going to put it in the Lion King's Castle, so the King's son can have some fun.
  4. I really like the packaging, more than the set inside
  5. For 50% off couldn’t resist. Super easy build.
  6. Thumb for scale! Does the microfig on the left look any good? Looking for a silver lining.
  7. Uhh is Amazons inventory management down for anyone else?
  8. Same yellow box but they really dressed it up with a cellophane cover and nice printing. It looks and feels more like a quality goods.
  9. Isn't the rule "'no returns allowed' doesn't really exist"? It deters the hesitant, but encourages the determined to cause more havoc with SNAD and INR cases. Jump on anytime that someone flat out offers to pay return shipping. It's like a unicorn sighting.

Tada! Probably won't get to building it until mid December though. Ugh, that flash made it so dark. Yay LEGO!
  11. I was just looking for a blog because I'm a teenager and I have an online Lego selling business, so I need to find like-minded people to ask questions of
  12. The best “Architecture” set I have ever built and probably even better if you are a HP fan and know all of the references. Lego really got it right with this form factor and I bet we will see more crossover sets from other themes in 2024.
  13. what did you think was gonna happen?
  14. Maybe others can comment on an effective way of dealing with returns like this. I primarily do FBA and each season end up with a sizeable bin of opened, built, or partially complete sets. I usually just eat the losses. You used to be able to file a case and get some money back about 60% of the time however last year I tried on a few expensive sets and it was a giant waste of time (I filed like 40 cases). Endless circular conversations, template, responses etc. One of them was directly Amazon's fault because they threw a label on the outside of a modular and returned it to me wet.
