Just want to say that my boy and I finally finished the UCS Millennium Falcon that was originally started during the Covid home bunkering May of 2020 (I may have mentioned that build in other posts over the "years"). It was a very specific goal for my recent birthday. No single thing killed me and my son's love for building LEGO as that project...getting it used was the 1st mistake. we would come across a missing piece which led to frustration and ultimately us avoiding building for months. Neither one of us has been able to build anything else (despite the ever growing backlog for me and my boy) due to the guilt of leaving that one unfinished....especially since it has taken up rent in our living room to the disdain of my wife.

Don't know why, but the increased 1st class shipment costs to CA really pissed me off this morning.

I caved to FOMO and bought the UCS Razor Crest. No idea when I will find time to build it nor space to store it, but here we are.

I have quite a few of the old catalog pamphlet inserts that you would get with a set you purchased. They are all in very good condition. Just curious if these have any value to any collectors. These are the bigger ones, there are several of each, plus lots of smaller ones.

Shadowless? I have a first edition set of base cards somewhere at my wife's family home. At some point, we'll get them back and take a vacation, unless they got damaged. Yay LEGO!

I started selling way back when 1st edition Pokemon cards were common. I couldn't remember how much postage was, but I had to wait for buyers to send me Money Orders (NO personal checks). Then mailed the $30 foil Charizard via snail mail. And yes, I know how much the card would have been now had I kept it. 😛

I think I remember under 3oz being $.90 at one time.

FWIW, both the Mini Disney Castle and the Reindeer Battle Pack is back in stock at LEGO. Here's the thing, my limits on those were reset yet again. I'd ordered my limit on both of those 3 separate times. Never have I seen that happen before. Of course, YMMV. Probably not the cream of the crop yet but I do kind of find it encouraging that we are hitting a real discount season. But I have a feeling there could be some home runs coming up. (No evidence yet but there's just a feeling)

Priority mail rates on amazon increased yesterday. For example. FR envelope used to be $7.75. Its $8.50 now.

The United States Postal Service (USPS) has announced temporary increases from October 2, 2022 to January 22, 2023 for Priority Mail, Priority Mail Express, First Class Packages and Parcel Select Ground. Great news! Most Priority Mail shipments will not have the announced peak rate increases when you print your labels on eBay. (I did not see increase on Amazon either) There is no increase for zones 1-6, 0-2 lbs There is no increase for zones 1-5, 3 lbs There is no increase for zones 1-4, up to 10 lbs There is no increase for Flat Rate Boxes and Envelopes First-Class Packages will have the following peak rate increases: $0.25 increase for Zones 1-4 $0.40 increase for Zones 5-9 Priority Mail Express, Parcel Select Ground and Priority Mail for weights and zones not mentioned above will have the published rate increase.
