Coming March 1, 40550 Chip & Dale Rescue Rangers (#163 and #164)

i built the creator tiger and crocodile sets over the weekend. for reasons i can't put into words, these sets appeal to the lego purist in me. they were quick and interesting builds. the tiger has several sections that snap satisfyingly with a "click" when put together. i am thankful lego put the time and effort to make some actual printed wedge tiles for the tiger set forming the top of the stripe pattern that are critical to the set but could have been ruined with stickers.

I broke down and made a trip to the Lego store. I wanted the Vintage Taxi but I am too cheap to pay @Lordoflego $49 for a $15 set. They said no new promo for tomorrow and they had a lot of the Ideas Globe set. First time seeing the Titanic in person it is very impressive.

Rescue Rangers was the tame Chip & Dale. I prefer them naughty and/or driving Donald crazy

I've never seen that, but wow! That was amazing. I love when rock artists mix with symphonies. Same. I've found some of my favorite songs from my favorite rock/pop musicians seem to go on forever. One of my favorite Oingo Boingo songs is nearly 16 minutes long!

I am probably the only one who like this song without ever seeing the movie.

I watched Serenity without watching Firefly first and I remember enjoying the movie.

Yes! Do it! I introduced Firefly to my 14yo daughter and she loves it. She likes how smart the writing/dialogue is. We're currently four episodes in. I'm bracing myself for the sadness she's going to feel once we finish the season and movie.

I always preferred Mac and Tosh from Looney Tunes.

Another snowy day so I finished the Dodge set. I wanted to complete all of the 8 studs before the next batch come out March 1st. Ranked best to worst from the front then left to right. Now to go shovel for a few hours and get back to finishing the Hogwarts Icons set.

If you do end up watching it, look up the correct episode order. They weren't released in chronological order and they may or may not be correct on your streaming service.

Holy blast from the past, Batman! Haha. Admittedly I have gained a better appreciation for the series since then after looking into the history of the English dub not to mention checking out the complete series release from a few years ago. Also, scenes like this are just magic. And yes, Trixie was a cutie patootie.

I always heard how good Firefly was but I have avoided watching it so far. I was afraid of liking something so short lived. I need to just watch it and enjoy it for what it was.

I found The Expanse intriguing. With the Battlestar Galactica remake, I had to disassociate that well away from the original considering the direction it took. Even then, I kind of enjoyed it. Firefly and Serenity were exceptional, reminiscent of Starhunter.

I can recite the lyrics to the theme tune underwater in the dark with my eyes shut. I remember my mother sometimes teasing me at how much I was like Dale. ....She also thought Chip was a bit of an ass. Haha. Anywho, here's hoping we see Gadget Hackwrench as well. I would be all over her.

I ordered one of each. If I've read all my emails, and assuming they're accurate, all 5 of mine have been "delayed," but I guess that depends on what you mean by that. The first email I got that specified a timeframe said ship by "end of January" and the first email I got that specified dates said all will ship by "2/8/22." Currently the Kakapo is being shipped on 2/20/22 and all the others are being shipped on 2/9/22.

Oh yes! Some great writing. Highly recommended. The CGI in some shots with the centurions doesn't hold up that well though. You may as well start binging it now.

T2 is 2022 as things stand currently. Mustang is 2023. Brick Fanatics are reporting accurately, but it's only January.

My wife tested positive for it last week. I tested negative until I popped positive Sunday. We are both vaccinated. Only think I had was a fever at night that quickly broke after a few hours. I did get that IV treatment and I tested clear and am returning to work today.

When I deconstruct a set, I do it in reverse and put the pieces into numbered zip lock bags.

Speed Racer can be considered a subtheme of Lego's Racers theme at best, but it really was a very minor theme in the end. The car builds were decent but filled with so many gaps and other design flaws. They looked fine from a distance and were play ready but didn't look so good when examined from remotely close up. Since we're on the subject, I liked the movie the sets were taken from which may be funny because I don't care for the original animated series. I have tried watching that so many times but, for the love of pete, they talk so freakin' fast all it does is give me a headache!

While I grew up being a huge Speed Racer fan and have a model of the Mach 5 in my office, the Speed Racer theme is a minor one. When Jeff has time, I'll see if he can add it.
