  1. Got my third Pfizer on Tuesday, with no side effects (luckily). I can really see the improvement in my 5G reception.

  2. Got out my Lego Christmas Village as well. Added 76388 Hogsmeade Village Visit to the mix since it kind of blends well.

  3. Last night my daughter and I took the Lego Christmas sets out of the bins. In the picture below she is explaining the finer details of her work to my wife. @ravenb99, that is the Lightning postgame show on the TV. Go Bolts!

  4. Was keeping my last copy of 40338 for myself, but the price has got to such an obscene level that I had to sell it. So we created the spares-mas tree. Loosely plagiarized on 40338

  5. I did something that I haven't done in a long time. In September, I went back to school and today was the last day of exams until January. Seven courses is a ton of work, but it's pretty rewarding (and it's not too weird being the oldest or second oldest person in the room). Only 32 months to go. I have no energy to get the Christmas Sets out, but at least I have three weeks to work on it. I never built the gingerbread, elf, or fire station due to the baby, but this might finally be the year to break those open. Yay LEGO!

  8. Just had some kid ask me for a list of my entire inventory so he could sell on eBay. I gave him a ballpark of what I had, which of course he promptly refused. I advised him that getting into LEGO reselling requires some time and effort (so get off YouTube and start hitting the clearance aisle), never buy from a reseller, and learn to spell "Entrepeneur" 🤨

  9. Back from a long stint away helping family, finally made some headway on sorting out my garage... that was until I found a few boxes of stashed Space stuff... Been building a lot of Lego Friends stuff with my niece so to get back to space-based stuff is wonderful Planning on redoing the house and hope to get some proper display cases but bought some cheap ones from amazon for my nephew for Xmas for his Star Wars figs and decided to experiment... Think I will have to order him some more! It is great to be in my own home again 🍷 Also made my first Bricklink order today so am excited to see how that goes too 😊

  10. Mine was their famous Get 100% Back in Points deal. I'd come home with bags of envelopes, paper towels, chips, Mac n cheese or whatever else was on sale less the eternal 15 off 75 coupon, then spend the points on Lego which was again discounted and stack it again with more 15/75 coupons. The best was the Get 100% in Points deal on Friends sets. Literally free Lego. I think they actually paid us to take them. I wonder why they went out of business. 15. when you set up a new template now, amazon FORCES you to use SHIPPING SETTING AUTOMATION - this is kind of a pita and not optimal imo. this forces you to go through a step wise process where you specify what shipping servces you utilize. i would go through it select only first class, priority and ups ground. first for standard, then for expedited. after you get through this you can edit the template (whatever you name it) . you can turn off SHIPPING SETTING AUTOMATION and it goes back to the "old fashioned" way by editing the template and then looking near the top for the slider switch. then you can go back to the old way and adjust it zone or state by state. if i were you i'd turn off the shipping setting automation and offer free 1-2 day shipping in my home state or subregion in my home state - (cali?) that way you're dealing with UPS ground or USPS PRIORITY - no USP3 day bs. put states you don't want to ship to on hawaii-alaska mode- 5-8 days. i'm doing that right now with the western us to avoid getting any orders from there. you can even sub-select geographic region in cali. you can compete with instock fba under this arrangement.

  16. I rarely insure anything. If you're worried about it going missing I try to reduce the number of hands it passes through and length of time. Overnighting items that are above a certain amount. In my years of selling the only items I've had an issue with was First Class items. I did send in multiple large shipments via USPS to PSA (authenticators). I utilized insurance and Registered Mail on those. Mostly because I was afraid of the sheer number of items they were receiving at the time. That took forreeevveeeer to get there and scared me way more than just overnighting. If you're worried about packaging getting damaged make sure you are fully aware of the packaging restrictions they lay out. (Amount of packing material, box rigidity etc). Just too much hassle to really deal with imo.

  17. Or because the tax code caters to these companies. When you make a lot of money, you have a lot of money to influence those that can help change tax code in your favor.

  18. I may not be a Technic enthusiast and I think this bike is baller. Side by side comparisons to the real deal do show some not quite accurate details but I believe the overall look & feel is there. Besides there is only so much accuracy one can achieve with standard Lego or more advanced Technic pieces. A part of me harkens back to playing some Super Hang-On in the arcades.

  24. I got a message from an upset buyer asking me why I have not given them updates on their first class package which has not arrived yet. And that when they sell something they are "on top of it" to let their buyer know if something is going to be late. I currently have 28 active items with 88 sold in the last 60 days. This buyer/seller has 0. **edit - did a bit of research and seems like the items they sell are the same as what I sold them. Hmm wondering if they are flipping the flip and getting grief from their buyer, lol. **

  25. Someone was in a bidding war on my item and he lost, I relisted it after the auction and he messaged me to ask why do I have another copy??!! Should I tell him I'm reseller scum? I often get messages telling me somewhere else is cheaper, I'm like ok good deal buy from them instead!

  26. reminds me of the time... so as parents we're always looking to get diaper deals (Costco, Target, etc) to maximize the cost per poop..ANYWAY, one time while traveling we were caught without a spare and had to purchase the Individually packaged for retail at a 7/11...I think it was like $7...(I know so what)....any way we had to get it because we had no spares or backups...during the rest of the day we were just banking on not needing it till we got to our regular stash...all the time thinking.."well we have some old t-shirts we could jerry rig instead". Well we ended up not needing it and still have the unopened package to this day...

  27. I missed out on this one and has been on my radar. As an early entry to the classic scenes sets...I kinda ignored it as I didn't think the series would continue...but it clearly has and now I "need" one (such an iconic scene)

  34. When buying Priority Mail from eBay you automatically get insurance coverage up to $100. You can pay for additional coverage. Any claim has to be done via USPS website. The process is opened several days / a week? after the estimated delivery date. You may need to open lost mail investigation ticket in order to claim. Descriptions of item and packaging are part of the lost item ticket and insurance claim, so make sure you put enough details. Once claim is approved, it takes 1-2 months for the check to arrive. This is based on my last claim 3 years ago. Things might change. For $500 cell phone, I would add signature confirmation. Per eBay's guideline, signature is required on $750+ order, but you can add it on lower amount depending on your comfort level

  35. Great job! I have a 40338 stashed away as well - might need to sell mine too. Buying all parts Used from BL is ~$30-$35 ex shipping according to BrickStore, so I think I'm just going to go that route.

  36. Well that's annoying. I'm also sceptical that the Pirates of Barracuda Bay will retire. Reason being: John Lewis have the set OOS, but for retiring sets they will typically put a message saying that they don't expect more (e.g., London Bus https://www.johnlewis.com/lego-creator-10258-london-bus/p3389552). That message is not there for Barracuda (https://www.johnlewis.com/lego-ideas-21322-pirates-of-barracuda-bay/p5080238). That implies they are expecting a restock, and pre-Christmas seems unlikely at this point. The Chiron is in the same boat.

  38. Dude created an empire that revolutionized internet retail and now the internet with AWS. He deserves every share of the stock he has, as much as every other public business owner out there. Complain about all of them if corporate stock structures bother you.

  39. I just want to know...does the bag count numbering make sense? I find it one of the most bizarre issues w/ LEGO sets...The most basic thing; numbered bags...I mean how did we (the consumer) accept that there are multiple #2s and #5s and the highest numbered bag is in no way attributable to the total number of bags...it's like New Math
