  1. To be fair, I have been saying that since 2016...

  2. I never list as MISB... always state "good (or fair) condition box with minor shelf wear" even if it's a pristine box. They can look at the pictures to see it's a nice box. Buyers will call you out on anything more, complain and ask for a partial refund. CYA.

  4. I used to be bothered by that but now I think for every 100 who asked probably only 5 would move their butts and actually do something about the information. I have that low expectation in humanity

  5. FYI My orders in July went through at 12 each, but then were canceled a day later. Wish they would just put in a limit so we don't have to guess.

  8. Last night I paired this with Bowser's Airship which ALSO earned $25 honey gold and was also awarded 10% of the whole amount ON TOP of that (plus saved $10 with the texting code). So... good deal.

  9. My Home Alone and Dorms sets arrived today. The Home Alone set is in such good condition, I don't want to open it. I might have to order another.

  10. It's not the competition. Most established sellers can pivot to longer hold times and shift focus from FBA to FBM and roll with the punches to account for lost sales. Rather,, it's not good to open the flood gates and let anyone in who has a SAH receipt because it's going to make Amazon crack down with more insane policy requests and reselling all the more difficult.

  17. Hello everyone! Been away for a long time and I am amazed to see the sets Lego is coming out with! I am still sitting on two 101088 Death Stars and other sets that I have in storage. Was pleased to see that the values have gone up for many sets. Dumb question but what happened to the brickfolio?

  18. Snowflake is a political word. If you want to complain in an apolitical way, you don’t use that word. Re: “a wise man once said…” it’s fine to be a monk, and peacefully watch the world burn down around you. That’s a thing a guy could do. It’s also fine to make fun of me for crying salty tears in the Pacific and hoping to change its salinity. (Posted before you edited to say “but here I am talking” nice self awareness there!, I’m with you I really am.) Sometimes it’s useful to hold up a mirror for people, most times not. I like the bowling ally, the lego store, the venitian houses and the windmill. But Jeesh, $1k… idk.

  24. Couple things could help - Yes, there's X times more sellers, but there's also a lot of $ flowing through the economy and more people shopping online than ever before. Could balance things out. I also agree with whoever commented on new v. experienced sellers moving into new categories. Pretty good indicator is seeing 200+ sellers for SKUs that are not retiring any time soon. On the other hand, Walmart seems to be allowing anyone or anything to sell on its platform, which will likely scare away customers once they purchase 3P LEGO and see a plastic bag arrive with return address in mandarin and contents smelling like a burned out appliance.

  25. This ^. You are starting to see a increase in scamming by sellers on Walmart do amazon is justified to a certain extent with what they are doing and will probably do in the future as far a further restrictions go

  26. The glut of sellers this year is crazy. I think dropping the 25 sales in sep-oct rule has contributed. 20th Slave was nearing 300 six weeks ago. Now it's been pushed down to almost 200. And that's just one example.

  27. Too many dipwad vloggers getting followings. Thankfully most of the idiot followers in the groups only buy a handful of things at close to RRP. Even better to watch when they're asking about buying and holding newly released sets for years. Truly looking forward to them getting "surprise" 1099's January 2023. If the polar ice doesn't all melt by then, their tears should be enough to raise the ocean up enough to flood most low lying areas.

  31. It’s LEGO’s decision to make, it’s not cancelled and an equally good set got pushed up. I’m sure the creator of the Venetian set is happy, since it’s obvious their set was ready to go as well. And who knows, maybe the creator of the western movie set asked to be pushed back, because of their own desire to put some space between the incident and their set. If the creator wants that, I can’t see forcing them to release their set this round if they don’t want to.

  32. 100%. The Lego game is way more crowded. If not already I’d suggest branching out to selling other items also as hold periods will take longer or take advantage of the sets that are restricted for a lot of sellers. That’s my new buying plan for sets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  33. Very true. I am sure that thousands die daily around the world from automobile accidents, but Lego doesn't stop making cars. They don't stop producing airplane sets each time there is an aircraft crash. They still put ladders in their sets even though people get hurt or die from falling off ladders every year. 37. Looking for a 100% nett profit on the RRP. With the use of spreadsheets and postage calculators, etc. I have that point worked out for most items. This time last year couldn't sell a Halloween Haunt or Pizza Van for $40 on eBay. This year started selling these off at the $55 mark and as 1 sold , listed another at higher price until they were selling at $60 a pop. Probably could have gone higher, but I need to stay in Ausposts Band 2 parcel post rates, clear space at home and make hay while the sun is shining. Productivity Commission report released yesterday - warning Parents to get their Xmas shopping done early, I am sure will help with sales.

  38. Never paid GST at customs on a Bricklink purchase (eBay is totally different). Make sure your seller doesn't bullshit on the value declaration and you shouldn't have a problem if it is under $1k.

  39. This is interesting to me. Everyone is ready to call someone else a snowflake, but no one will cop to how snowflakey they are… it is snowflakey to see a toy rendition of something that barely relates to a tragic event that you weren’t even involved in, and be outraged it is snowflakey to call “people” “snowflakey” because they are the imagined boogeyman in a scenario in which you can’t get a toy on the timeline that “THEY PROMISED!” Meanwhile, companies will do whatever they think is best for their bottom line… IDK, doesn’t matter, everyone will continue to be outraged by whatever their chosen talking heads tell them they should be outraged by today and then something different tomorrow… Because that’s what they all think is best for their bottom line.

  44. I wouldn't count on that. When large exclusives like this go around this time of the year, they tend to be gone. They may pop back up here and there based on returns/delayed shipments or other reasons, but I wouldn't count on being able to easily buy this set at retail a month from now or later.
