  1. I put this together today and I don't usually gush about builds, but honestly it's one of the best sets I've assembled in a while. The details on the inside are incredible. ..
  2. If only KMart was still around, I would have jumped in my car right now and bought them all out
  3. I wonder if the overlapping polybags is one where you have to choose which you want. That car looks like someone at the Pick-A-Brick wall said, "Hey, we have these pieces that no one is buying. What should we do with them?" and, bam, a GWP was born.
  4. I think this is a good rule of thumb but there's not enough long term data ...the resell price curve may initially jump, then gradual slope down, hit a plateau (for unknown duration) and then possibly start rising again (but due to lack of publicity the pool of buyers likely goes way down over time)
  5. The answer is always "More Lego". I just helped my son build a road for a school diarama. I could envision this concept behind the cars. And it would give it a retro Spy Hunter feel. Sent from my moto g power (2021) using Tapatalk
  6. A couple nice Harry Potter offers in October.
  7. It's possible. You may be able to order without it being auto cancelled but no guarantees .
  8. The Harley Davidson is also 10% or $10 off. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W8Z9ZTC/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A2Q1LRYTXHYQ2K&psc=1
  9. Sell Sell Sell - $200 on Amazon
  10. Doesn't sound like it from the fine print. They don't even run the same length. This calendar feels like someone at Lego marketing actively not trying.
  11. I don’t even really know what HP sets I can buy anymore at this point because I hit the limit with most buying most to get Mbom. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. I can vouch for this discount. I've been refreshing ever since gmpirate posted this and the discount finally appeared this evening. @raindog Here is the link for the one showing the coupon as there seems to be two listings: https://www.amazon.com/LEGO-Crocodile-Locomotive-Building-Enthusiasts/dp/B084ZR9LR9/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=10277&qid=1632876757&sr=8-1
  13. Promobricks removed Fossils from their retiring list in their September update. So maybe the rumor is stemming from that. Stonewars still has it retiring but they haven't updated their list since mid August, so if the change on Lego's end was after that, their list wouldn't show it. Are there any other reputable sources to go by? I personally think Ideas set retirement dates are very untrustworthy considering what happened with Saturn V, ship in a bottle, and treehouse. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me.
  14. something has changed in last month or so making that mistake easier, gotten 4 negs with positive, sent revisions to all, 3 fixed, one never responded. Way to many for it to be happening without something changing that makes it easier to hit by accident.
  15. Clearly the buyer is more accustom to A+++++ and better from other sellers. You sir only got 4+, need to really up your game (for comparison I typically get A +infinity)
  16. What's with the flying car? Looks like a polybag item and not $120 threshold gwp. And if I'm reading this correctly, there are two polybag overlapping at the beginning of the month for $40. Why? Such a strange month except the HP one.
  17. Request feedback revision from Ebay, its clearly a mistake and will be fixed
  18. What can be more legitimate than the lego blogs and youtubers?
  19. The official LEGO Designer video:
  20. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07Q2WLMJ2/ref=crt_ewc_title_oth_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER Set 75249 showing $10.00 extra savings brining it down to $45.99 (34% savings)
  21. It's greed, they know exactly what there doing. I have seen it all this year, I wouldn't believe anything blogs or even Lego say about there sets now. There all out to make as much money as possible regardless of how they do it. Even sets that are meant to be retired come back due to demand (Disney train). This investing side of things is over. The last 2 years things have changed a lot and it will only get worse regarding it all. Just wait and see what actually retires this year. You have to laugh really.
  22. Amazon $10 coupon keeps popping up on the Crocodile Train but being able to buy 20 doesn't sit right with me.
  23. Guest
GWP confirmed in October's Store Calendar:
  24. When you have 1000s sitting in the bay on freighters, why retire them?
  25. Couple that with Amazon having stock of retired stuff FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR, disallowing sets to be sold for unknown reasons. Its definitely turned into a game of avoiding land mines. Last year I dumped so many harry potter casts, whomping willows, ship in a bottle and nasa's I wanted to cry. Definitely going after "safer" choices from here on out even if the return isn't the best.
