Seuss was not banned, he simply was not. Fox tells us he was to get us all hot. What's next? Potato head gender disphoria? Is there no difference between Eva and Evan Longoria?
  2. Not sure why I built this in Spring...but, finally built the santa sleigh from #10245 Santa Workshop...and slightly modified it with the Reindeer from 10275 Elf Clubhouse. Also working on a Nativity for the fireplace mantle to go with the Santa sleigh...but, I still need to work on ordering some parts (including finding a different angel and a Lego baby - kind of an important piece to the scene...LOL).

I tend to fall on the side of show everything even the ugly so we can learn from it. but Seuss wasnt banned. He was not. That is an intentional misuse of the word to outrage people. Can we please stop spreading that false information?
  4. Finally got the Disney Castle finished today. I enjoyed building it, just fitting it in a night or two at a time here and there. I liked all the extra disney details it had. Hopefully it will last a day or two at least before my cat knocks it down! 😂
  5. 130€ for all of this. S e a l e d. 7113, 7119, 7127, 7200, 7201, 7203, 7204, 7104, 7133, 7144 Definitely in my Top 10 scores.
  6. Yes and no to all. Each set's life is different. I treat it so. And that philosophy can hurt. I started buying Hogwarts Trains and Great Halls on day 1. Now, I wished that I had 50-75% less than what I have. I haven't bought one in over a year unless I see a huge discount. But nothing is worse than what happened with the 10224 Town Hall. Yesterday, they were everywhere. Today, gone. I'd rather have too many of a set than have to fight with collectors, sellers, resellers and store limits, all at the same time, near the set's end. And people that won't buy a set that is 6 month's old at 40% off because it doesn't appear on someone's retirement (dream) list totally buffalo me. My philosophy isn't for everyone. I have a small warehouse, dedicated to LEGO and I also sell on Bricklink. But it works for me.

Church. And way too many times. Hopefully St Peter accepts Lone Ranger LEGO as a ticket to the inside.
  9. not really...the inside line is strait vertical more so than curved...that's a huge difference in making it look mean vs "fluffy"
  10. Took a while, but showed up the next morning. I’m in! To the moon!!!!!
  11. I agree 40% is 40% regardless of the timing. Trick sometimes is figuring out why it's 40% as sometimes it's just because the MRP is out of wack so I try to track my own RRP as well. I tend to consider retirement or at least scarcity a little more as I'm space and budget limited but in an ideal world it's right set at right price regardless of retirement.
  12. i thought you was talking about dec 21, sorry. promobricks has 71371, 71366, 71373 & 71364 EOL summer time if that helps?
  13. 75299 Trouble on Tatooine is $22.99 (~25% off) at the local Costco in NOVA. YMMV

No one is saying that it is a book that should be read cover to cover I don't believe. I just find it surprising that you had never even heard of Mein Kamph before now. Everyone has at least heard of the bible, the Koran and of Confucius and Socrates. I would say that your comparisons are a bit off. I would compare it to someone saying that they have never even heard of the book Moby **** or Tom Sawyer.

Censorship of any kind is a very slippery slope. Not many years ago the government tried to ban pornography. The first Amendment provides protections for all speech, unless such speech could cause an imminent and immediate harm to the public. Banning books has happened throughout history and no matter the reason for the banning, the purpose behind it was to control the population and what information they have access too. It’s never been for the good of the public and never will be. What’s scarier then the censorship is the group shaming that goes on because people have different opinions. Again throughout history this group shaming starts with what people think are altruistic motives but history has shown this group shaming eventually leads to violence against those that are not part of the group. I find it funny everyone is worried about Dr. Seuss books or Disney cartoons, when China is currently running concentration camps torturing and killing Muslims, genocide has been ongoing in South Sudan for a decade, Myanmar is ethnically cleaning Muslims and Buddhists and Turkey is ethnically cleansing The Kurds and Christians. You don’t see anyone protesting this, tweeting about it, demanding people stop buying Chinese products, the media doesn’t cover it because it doesn’t fit their agenda and The US government won’t say anything to China or Turkey because they are allies and since Mynamar and Sudan don’t have any resources we can steal.

if you asked me: "Did you know Hitler wrote a book?" I be like..sure, I'm sure he wrote tons of stuff...probably some really meaningful ones too that led to his popularity; do I care to read any? NOPE!
  23. I got one for Hedwig. Flip window is closed on that so no biggie. It's going to be a headache on stuff with low seller counts.
  24. I seem to remember $90 as the lowest...
  25. Lego Giant Chess Set new for $1600.
  26. Mario's guarded fortress 71362 is $10 off rrp at target and qualifies for bogo 40% off

  39. I had no idea "Yes" would be offensive to anyone. You may want to relax a touch.
  40. Google is not interesting in giving the best or most accurate search result. The highest revenue producing result is what they give us. I wouldn't want Lego directing people to BL. Can still find deals on there. Once the masses invade that will be over. I really don't sell much there though. May not matter, grandma & soccer moms could never navigate BL in it's current state.
