Spent the morning doing some boat restoration. Sails just arrived for the Flagship. I didn't appreciate the size of the Flagship until sitting it next to the Black Pearl. It's a massive boat.

Picked up a couple weeks ago. Decided since it was close enough to take the drive. Offered asking price as it seemed worth it. Snapped a picture of the listing when I got back home for memories. They provided no pictures, but It was quite the "hull" Overall from the bulk bin the 3 sets were about 98% complete. Sails for the Pearl and Queen Anne were in good shape. The flagship sails looked like they were used as toilet paper... so aftermarket sails are set to arrive tomorrow. Missing pieces already arrived from Bricklink. Manual missing for the flagship but the other two sets are there. Had this been 15 minutes further I probably would have waited for pictures and ended up in a bidding war.

Bit off topic , but I got to ride Rise of the Resistance this week at WDW. Holy crap it was Amazing!!!

Finished up the other two builds to 31079

Finished up this bad boy last night. I’m loving the older builds/colors lately. Starting to notice what many have stated before, how the little parts in newer sets have become excessive.

Digging through some stuff and found a troll army. Just ordered another 50 Murts over the weekend... Now I need to find my good guys.

Finally got, and then built, my Tuk Tuk!

Built the latest version of the ice cream truck recently. I like the build, especially the giant ice cream bar on the roof, though I do wonder if the ice cream cost $1 or $100 based on the Green Tile 1 x 2 with Groove with 100 Dollar Bill Money Pattern. Logically it is the latter. It must be awesome ice cream for $100! One comment, avoid the temptation to put the Ice Cream Vendor minifigure on the Dark Bluish Gray Tile 1 x 4 like I did at first immediately behind the serving window so it falls down easily. It goes on the studs two rows behind that window. D’oh! Comparing it to the pizza van, the ice cream truck is much easier to put the minifigure inside the interior due to easier access with the rear window opening being on a side hinge with a wider opening vs. the up/down hinge system on the pizza van and more crowded interior/inherent space constraints. There is always taking off the roof option though I guess for minifigure placement. Final thought, they are both loaded with multiple play features and fit quite well within any city layout.
