I think there should be a warning / sticky just to remind people to please not to take investment advice from a random people on the Internet, as most people only talk about the wins and never the losses. Need to remember that technically can't give out investment advice unless you are regulated (FCA in UK). I've seen too many horror stories of people going all in on a single stock / share just because they heard of the "mad gainz" from someone on FB / insta etc. Keep it slow and steady, have a emergency fund of 3 to 6 months savings, invest only what you can afford to lose, and if something sounds too good to be true, it usually is.

For the record, the correct way to do dates is yyyymmdd, because that sorts the same chronologically as well as alphabetically.

DIS, F, MGM, BAC, GLW all purchased in March/April of last year. New money goes to F, KIM and CMA on a quarterly basis in the second half of the year. Starting to look for Dividend pays with KIM and CMA while F is a long term purchase I add to occasionally with believe that the div will be restored. This is me - your investment needs and strategy are different and this is play around cash. My bigger money (retirement) is in target aged funds and index mutual funds and I do not touch those funds for individual stock purchase. I am fifty plus so I am starting to look at retirement 10 to 12 years from now. I am starting to look for div pays of solid stocks I know that pay 3% plus because I want that to supplement retirement income in a decade plus. I work with an advisor on my Mom's portfolio and steal some ideas from them for me. I work for an S and P 500 listed company and get regular stock purchases and allocations so I make sure i pull those funds when they mature and invest in other things to diversify. My employer is a tech company and represents 30-40% of my net wealth in a single stock. This is why my individual stocks listed are not tech stocks. My exposure is way too high to tech between my employer and index funds so my strategy is to put cash in other sectors. As I said, my strategy is based on my needs.,

Eh, it's current events. I personally see myself as neutral of this situation, and really wish people would act with a certain amount of respect towards others, REGARDLESS of political affiliation. I realize it requires a certain amount of EQ, but I'm hopeful calm will persevere eventually.

I think what some people fail to get is that end of the day Lego is a business. I'm sure the designers would love to create 5000+ piece MOC's using rare colours / moulds etc, but from a business and logistical standpointbthis isn't possible. The bean counters will impose a max set price / piece count / new parts and colours etc / impact of production upon other sets. I still think its amazing that lego even offers an Ideas platform, and that people have a chance to say their idea is now available to buy at every lego shop in the world.

I seldom do day 1 purchases for myself but I think I will succumb to this one. Both kiddo and I are huge castle fans. We were a little disappointed by the original model vs this but it looks OK at the end of the day. I've got two of those in storage, maybe it's time to pop the seals..

Ok, a real complaint (my pseudo complaint was deleted, grr) Canada now requires a negative PCR test for flights into the country, with some exceptions and work arounds. People who went on vacation are complaining that they can't get the test in time because they didn't have notice. Maybe next time there's a pandemic or major situation, you'll stay the F at home. Thanks for reading haha.

Lego finds a way to cancel one Beetle and still give us another. /Clarkson In all seriousness though. I cant wait to see some of the MOC's that add a slantnose, whaletail, and other Porsche goodies. A Targa version will also be easily doable with enough black replacements.Who knows, maybe they will include that as an alternate build.

While I'll agree the quality of submissions isnt what it once was, I also think AFOL's have a hard time creating sets that arent the whole kitchen sink.
