Finally cracked open the seals on the 10193 Medieval Market Village I bought on EBay several years ago. Built it and now working on "winterizing" the set so it can go under the tree. As this was the first time I built a 10yr old set "fresh from the factory", a couple of observations: - 2010 Reddish Brown SUCKS. Lots of cracking noises when placing bricks. One rounded window frame broke part of the bottom antistuds off (luckily these are plentiful available) - on first use ever! - Numbered bags for large sets are such a help. I had to dump 1600+ bricks on a table and do a lot of searching, as this set has no numbered bags. - Instructions really fail in color recognition. It was often hard to distinguish Black, DBG and LBG, as well as Tan vs Pearl Gold vs Pink, to the point that at the end I had to break down the chimney on the first house because I had used an LBG 1x4 plate instead of a DBG 1x4. - The big tree build is finnicky. Especially when trying to add the white flowers/blossoms to the tree. That said, the set is really solid and once I do my winterization I think it'll look great in my Winter Village.

Bought a used Technic lot for $350 that includes: 42100 - Liebherr 42096 - Porsche 42077 - Rally Car 42110 - Landrover 42076 - Hovercraft All 100% complete, with instructions and boxes. The funny thing is, is that this is a guy that semi-regularly buys new Technic sets from me. I sold him the Hovercraft new for $80, and sold him the Liebherr (which I had won from the Lego raffle reddit) for $200 and a used 100% complete with instructions and box 42082 Rough Terrain Crane. So, I have already gotten $280 cash from him for sets I sold him. Now I basically give him his money back and get my new sets back in used, adult collector condition and for $70 more got a Rough Terrain Crane, Landrover, Rally Car and white Porsche. Not a bad deal.

I sell a lot of used sets. So many that I am actually getting pretty burned out on building them and doing inventory on pieces. I have never included extra pieces in my sold sets. Even if I already have the extra pieces they don't get included with the sale. I have never once been questioned by a buyer about the extra pieces not being included. No Lego set instructions have extra pieces listed in the parts inventory, so yes, you can sell sets as "100% complete" on Ebay without them. The official set inventory is in the instructions.

In fact, it was setup to work with the boost motor and sensor. If using your personal device the roller coaster has "scream" sounds as if the minifigures are riding the coaster. You can't help but laugh every time the car goes down the big hill. Very entertaining. Funny, it doesn't work as well when both sets of cars are running. When car one is half way down the coaster and car 2 hits the sensor, the sound effect resets. So you only get half of the sound effect. It's better with only one car running.

Shoppers put their duplo sets at half price, if you're in the duplo market. I found one set $1 over MSRP before discount but the rest were fine.

I hope not. So far I've had 100% brand new in shipper no damage. Knock on wood, amirite!?

I have sold (and looked at) a lot of used sets and never have seen the extra pieces factor into the ability to sell or the price of the set. Sets are considered to be complete if they have all of the elements needed to build them.

Think they are all 21 to be honest.

I have not seen those signs in my local LEGO store. Furthermore, I had asked specifically about the Roller Coaster and was reminded that LEGO typically keeps two amusement park sets in stock at the same time; I.E. Haunted House and Roller Coaster. Since the Haunted House just came out, that means the Roller Coaster should end summer 2021. Now whether or not LEGO is able to produce a lot of the Roller Coaster before then, only time will tell.

when you assume, you make an ass of u and me. 31097 is not on any retiring list and is not sold out anywhere in the world. it's not going now. now is the time to focus on remaining sets on the list that are drying up. sets like 75248 green a-wing - shelf swiped 12x in the 2 days at some walmarts for $24.84 - selling instantly on amazon later the same day for $59.99. i sold 8 yesterday at that price before i turned off the spigot. i never made any decent money on creator 3-1 within a reasonable time frame without getting a 50% off or greater discount. eventually will be a winner though once seller count winds down. 31097 will make it to $160-200 a year or two after it retires if lucky. i would buy some at $54 same price point i would buy similarly priced poe's xwing at $54 buyin you make money routinely at 79.99 msrp price point in a year of eol . this set is not going to do as well as say poe's x-wing . i could and do go out and buy some more minty superphat wool farms a set likely to triple-quadruple in value at msrp basis within 12 months of eol which is probably in the next year. but i'd rather go and find some more 75248

Put my life at risk and met @$20 on joe vs danfor a local sale yesterday. Sold him and his kiddo an open box 10212 UCS Imperial Shuttle with sealed bags. Nice meeting and chatting with a local picker. Enjoy the set!

Built the corner garage on Monday/Tuesday and the Bookshop on Wednesday/Thursday. I like both builds and really notice the improved techniques in the modular line, especially for similar areas to other modulars, or when comparing to city mini builds. As blasphemous as this is: Green Grocer needs an update. The Garage feature is excellent (at least it's my son's favourite besides the fire truck) and is well designed. The rolling door is not for little hands though and the greebling was VERY annoying. I hope Lego figures out a way to take a similar set and make it a reverse corner in the future. I have 5 corner buildings which is enough. The Bookshop was a very strong build and I love the colours, but would like to see a little more work on the walls of the shop itself. The trees suck (and always have) and the corner garage tree looks stupid. The Bookshop is the nicer finished product but suffers like Pet Shop and Detective's Office with a half building each. A full floor bookstore would have been really cool. I am very thankful that they are full size buildings unlike the DO and BB. The best feature of both is that they don't have the stupid Diner staircase. Parisian Restaurant and Green Grocer still rank 1 and 1A for me. Bonus photo of the buildings around the tree this year with both Holiday trains (wall isn't done, but whatever). I hope to light them back up next year if my kid stops touches them .

I had to build one of my Diners. They just look too cool. Its definitely among my favorite modulars so far.
