I often question if buying more LEGO is using the money wisely. But then I do it anyway.5 points

My theory is that after they run the numbers , they won’t sell LEGO anymore 😂😂4 points

Longtime AFOL here, fan since age 6, new to brickpicker. No true dark ages but I definitely had a "dim age". Was tuned into AFOL community well enough as a teenager in the aughts to know that I better guard my at-my-parents-house collection with my life, even if I wasn't into it. That instinct definitely paid off. Reclaimed the whole ~40K bricks of them a few years ago and haven't looked back since. As another rare woman here it seems I find myself yet again in a male-dominated field, no surprise there (I'm in tech in the real world).4 points

I finally sold my 1989 Batmobile gwp for $105. A little below others but the box had the classic Lego shipping department smash of approval creased through the front.2 points

pretty sure after Holidays...we will all be looking around wondering..."what just happened? I am guessing that unreported retirements will be evident for many many sets2 points

My theory is that hardly anyone goes to Harley-Davidson.com to buy LEGO, so they were sitting with a shyte-load of inventory.2 points

pathetic really. still available at walmart: $19.99 - 50% off hp calendars. https://www.walmart.com/ip/LEGO-Harry-Potter-Advent-75981/666341901 i've been ordering multiple orders of 2x per day for instore pickup always waiting for the all clear that previous order is ready to pickup before placing an order for another 2. not having an issue though with multiple stores at one store waiting to be picked up. picked up the first tranche of 5 orders (10x) . i have 50x waiting for me at 6 stores. obviously there is no apparent banning of instore orders for pickup given the number i have outstanding at the moment.2 points

Who would have thought that darn 20th Anniversary would actually mean something...many were scoffing at it when it was released...being the highest priced Anniversary set the Slave 1 could become something special...especially with the recent Mando juice1 point

Just pick the standard shipping ($16.78 in my case), it will be changed to free shipping before you complete your order.1 point

Two complete sets per box. They are harder to smoosh since there are more pieces in a bag than regular CMF1 point

I'm sure a remake will be forthcoming in due time but 75243 has Leia as well in addition to being a pretty nice build in itself.1 point

I feel like at this point I’m dumpster diving the lego site for any inkling of a gem. I’m not touching either of these personally. I’m just hoping for maybe a late miracle addition of the Christmas carousel promo from a couple years ago. Or maybe the nutcracker to go along with dickens.1 point

Exact problem i was having... ended up ordering two for the kids and a couple bricks to get free shipping... beware though... this set is selling for squat on ebay so not a good investment...1 point

I got a LEGO drop ship notice from FedEx that matches my Walmart.com order for a couple Creeper Mines. What are the odds they threw in an Ice Skating Rink with the order?1 point

I agree. Thats why I shy away from buying too many used sets or collections. I have way too many as it is.1 point

Man that would be fun" Me: "Nah, going to sell this crap to desperate parents on Amazon" Them: "Straight hustlin', I feel that."1 point

It depends if you call Amazon a retailer.....most of the big stuff I get from Amazon comes Dropshipped directly from Lego. So basically Lego is selling it, just through another outlet. Thats different than placing inventory in a B&M store1 point

Last night I built LEGO 30628 Monster book of Monsters. Really fun built with a large variety of pieces and building techniques considering the piece count. It has wheels and when you push it the mouth opens and the tongue can wiggle. Well worth the $20 and a great display piece. I posted a speed build on TikTok (same name) if that interests anyone.1 point
