I finally moved to a 1500 sq. ft warehouse unit. Not sure how i'm going to utilize 16 ft ceilings but we'll see. To my surprise... The insurance is 475$ dollars a year?!?! Best move of my life.

I made a small bet on these (6 pairs I think) and sold them for around $400 average. I should have bought all of those TRU combo boxes for $90-$120 way back when. Pound for pound those were better investment than UCS SSD.

No - when I have a number of sets I sell them over time. Meaning that I have sold a number of them over the years - 1, here, 1 there. My personal collection has the ghost and phantom combo set Sure - I was happy with $200 and I let one go there. The next year I sold 1 for 250 . after my 2 sales - have $450 back on my investment - after expenses the other three were basically free. Think of it as dollar cost averaging for selling (vs. buying) It doesn't work for every set but storage, for me , isn't an issue so I have a little longer holding period. Also, t think about what the potential for remakes are (X-wings, falcons, Fire stations, At-Ats, etc.) they are always making another one. Things that appeal a little more to me as an investor are the unique sets - the ghost was more of a unique set in my mind. (And the buy-in price did not hurt either)

Because at the start of the show she was an obnoxious child and by the end of the show she was completely different. She had some of the best character progression in any Star Wars media, which ideally is exactly how a good character is designed (coming to enjoy the character over time).

I get so many deliveries just dropped at my front door all day & night. I would dread that feeling of having to stay at a warehouse all day as deliveries come. Or God forbid in November/December when UPS pickups start coming at 9 or 10pm. This would make me feel like I had a 9-5 job again if I was stuck at a warehouse all day. Having a large RV garage or warehouse building on the same property as my house is my ultimate goal.

No, just ebay fees. Buyers can still pay with paypal, but as I understand it, we don't see how they pay at all anymore. You just see dollars in your eBay payments section. Hoping total fees stay about the same or decrease, but probably not how that's going to go.

Lego are knocking it out of the park with their focus on the adult market. Long may it continue.

I have a simple rule: if I wouldn't have picked said item off a shelf in person, I dont accept it shipped to me.

800/month and I pay utilities. No rate increase clause, they pay for repairs, they pay for snow removal. A local farming family has owned the site for 40 years. When I called my insurance agent he said they have multiple clients at that location. I think it was a pretty lucky find. As I mentioned in different thread I've been struggling to find something along these lines.

I've never marked "gift" for any purchases and therefore don't think it really matters. And even though there are different shipping options for some sets (frustration vs whatever) I always just choose the cheapest no matter what and have not had an issue. There's a lot of people on here with "buying strategies" but since I prescribe to none I'm not a believer that any ultimately make a difference. They're just such a big company with so many employees that we're going to receive banged up sets sometimes. I would return the set that @oneknightr received for sure but most of the time I don't return sets. If you want to maintain a buying relationship with Amazon, or any company for that matter, you can't behave like a reseller. Return enough items and they can choose not to do business with you. Most consumers are not concerned about the retail packaging -- especially current in-production items. Being a QFLL is risky for that matter. Long term you will still be able to sell it and cover your costs/make some money. That's why many will say on here that its a volume game. Because you have to be able to absorb the losses.

If you go to the selling area on the browser version of the website, there’s a Payments tab where you can view the pending and transferred payments. I don’t know of a way to view it on the app, which is inconvenient. You do get an eBay message for every transfer they make into your linked bank account.

Ah yes, The Brick Testament. I first remember stumbling across it on the net like end of the 90's or start of the 2000's I believe. One would think it to be a parody of sorts involving LEGO but instead it is simply scenes taken straight from "the good book" using minifigures. That is all. No puns, no jokes, or anything off key. Now seeing some scenarios being reenacted by our innocent toy characters can be a tad humorous or amusing.

By the trailer I would think I was going to watch The Crow instead of Batman. Awesome movie, btw, if you've never seen it.

I got an ebayer doing something fishy. I have a 2 item listing on ebay and they sent me a message saying that they already had 1 of the items and did I have something I could substitute for another item. I said sure and sent them a list of substitute items on the same price range of $40 - $60 dollars. The charge on the original listing was $85. Both items were vehicles from the City theme so I subbed in options for 8 different vehicles - you know, apples to apples. They come back and ask if I have 60204 (Lego Hospital) - I say no. (mind you none of my 20 plus active listings have Lego Hospital or anything close to that.) Then they come back and ask about any trains. That is when I look and see that they have 4 feedback from 2015 and nothing since. They are trying to fish for me to include a high value item to make the deal a $250 - $400 dollar deal. All warning signs that this is not right. Now I am a good seller with great feedback but low feedback (compared to others) in the couple of 100. I'm willing to work with someone reasonable and even low feedback individuals if they stay in the right path but there are lots of folks selling just the 1 item, there are lots of folks selling the hospital, there are lots of folks selling the trains. Go ask them questions but you have no reason to come to me to make a package deal to include items I am not even selling. I politely told them I was backing away and that I am only offering my original listing and nothing more and if they want other items there are lots of reputable dealers on ebay who can sell them these items. Then I contacted ebay and told them of my concerns. Points of the story... 1.) I don't have to sell you anything that is not listed on my posts 2.) I can be reasonable and I want to help buyers but be concerned about how fast something can morph out of scope 3.) Ask yourself why someone would do something that doesn't make sense to you and it will often lead to the fact that it makes sense to them and the result is not good for you. 4.) Communication doesn't mean you have to keep communicating (These guys will go away if they realize the fish is not biting) 5.) Tell ebay - take the extra step to protect all sellers. Make ebay aware of who these accounts ar and what they are doing. 6.) Low feedback doesn't mean they are a scammer but it is a sign. I am lot more willing to send something small to a new buyer then a $500 set. We all started at "0" once and we built up feedback overtime but I did not do my first transactions for 100s of dollars with "0" feedback. 7.) If someone with minimal feedback is communicating with you and you fell like you are talking to someone with lots of ebay experience - ask yourself why? After some of the exchange I expected to look at their profile and see lots of feedback and I saw four feedback all from five years ago - the warning bells started to ring a lot louder. If they had 100s of feedback with recent entries - that is one thing but this was entirely different. The experience of the person I was talking to was not equal to their representation (Be aware of the virgin hooker rule!!!) 8.) These guys seem to come out on Thursdays and Fridays - I believe their goal is to try to gt the item shipped on Saturday " fast delivery needed" etc. This prevents ebay anti fraud folks from catching up to them before the item gets in the system. 9.) IF you are communicating with someone watch the account name - I have seen it vary slightly but DRNUCRAD and DRNURCAD are too different accounts and there should be no reason the account name should change in the middle of an active communication exchange if you are a legit buyer - you only need 1 account. The goal - I can only assume is to get me to make a custom listing of some type valued at $250 to $500 dollars - I ship the item once paid and then the payment is rescinded due to it being fraudulent. If I ship on Saturday that gives the item almost 48 hours of travel time before the fraud is processed through the bank, etc. I believe you will also find these folks targeting geographic areas - This scam will not work (as well) if I am shipping East to West because the travel time is too long and the package can be intercepted (though that costs money). Not an exact science but my best guess. Anyway - this is the second Account in the last month that has tried something like this. Be weary - list it and sell it is the best policy. This isn't complicated. Hey - even ask "IF I will knock $5 off" and that is okay. But when the exchange goes further than that your warning bells should start triggering. Trying to make that sale may not be worth trying to recover from the sale if it goes bad.

Bendu Ezra is DJ (subtract one letter from the 'E' in Ezra, and one letter from the 'K' in Kanan = DJ) On a more serious note, that was great. I admit I fell off for the second, third, and first half of the fourth seasons. But these last few episodes were great. I'll have to go back and watch it from the start (or at least the start of season 2). I really dug the epilogue at the end. I thought it was great. I really liked hearing/seeing where everyone ended up. Confirmation that a character is canon at the Battle of Endor was nice. We got a name drop for Captain Palleon. As an old time Thrawn fan, that made me smile. I'm looking forward to what Filoni has coming next. There's a fantastic set up for the next great thing. I hope they seize the set up and run with it.

Received my 11% off RRP standard packaging and marked as a gift Rebel Blockade Runner from Amazon tonight. The shipping box was fine but the set box was trashed. Both ends taped over like crazy and to top if off, the set information on the front of the box was cut out. So weird! Needless to say, this one's going back. Deciding if I want to take a chance on a replacement or not. Looks like a return, right? I can't believe the packer thought this would be ok as a gift.
