  1. Unbelievable. I am not sure what is more shocking. That I won(sorry Ed, I'm one of the Califorian's) OR that this is my 1st ever post. I have been a member and a follower of countless threads on this site for over 6 years now. It is built into my day to pull the site up 5, 10, 25 times a day. Everyday. I read practically every post in damn near every thread. I just don't ever post, it's just not my thing. But I am very much appreciative of Ed and Jeff Mack and everybody that makes the site the way it is(regardless if you post regularly or never at all). I don't buy tickets every year thinking I will win, I do it to help you help a good cause, I do it as my "payment or thank you" for the enjoyment and knowledge of brickpicker. So in case I never post again thank you for all that you guys do and thank you for pulling one of my numbers

  2. This the first time I have seen an order packed this way from a seller on BrickLink and the parts are sealed in compartments using what I think it is a Press N’ Seal. I am impressed!

  3. I finally decided to build my May the 4th GWP. It is definitely lacking. So I tried to improve it. It would honestly be better with a X-Wing in the lead followed by the A-Wing, but I'm lacking parts to make a white X-Wing in micro scale. I also shortened the tail fins on the A-Wing. I added a second gun tower. In RoTJ, the entrance was surrounded by turrets.

  4. Thanks. We really need the schools to open soon. The Mack Academy is underperforming. LOL.

  5. Let me help with that... I went ahead and created some posts in the thread just to get things rolling:

  9. I would talk with you homeowners insurance company - Your numbers don't seem that high that you would have too many issues.

  10. That's pretty brazen on their part...don't people realize that security cameras are just about everywhere? Glad you're ok and that your collection is intact.

  11. Maybe we should just start posting Daily deals in that thread ....

  12. Question for mods, would it be possible to start a thread and call it "Retiring Soon - open speculation", or something like that? We could post things in there, instead of in the Daily Deals thread.

  14. I’ve seen that a couple of times. Maybe it’s from the same seller? Either way, that really is a packing excellence (unlike most other examples in this thread). I appreciate it also and think it’s pretty cool.

  15. First the Bugatti, now this thing. I still don't understand why the heck people would pay 370-380 bucks for an overpriced Technic sports car with countless holes in it. On top of that they are Technic pieces! That's probably the worst value for your money you can get right now besides the Bugatti. You essentially pay more than double just for a brand name. If it'd look brutally amazing I'd get why people want it, but the design is also mediocre... Am I missing something here?

  16. Most likely not. It will show up at the very bottom of your monthly eBay bill. There is a known issue where you may get billed for more than the estimate shown when you print the Fedex label on eBay. So you never know if you actually get that 50% off until your next eBAy bill arrive I accept Ninjago Mechs as payment

  17. Things took off a month before anyone got a check (even before word spread that stimulus checks were coming) - There is simply a lot of money out there.

  18. This makes sense though, when you have billions being provided to people, they are going to spend it. When the billions are used up, so goes extra sales. The big question will be, how much spendable income will be available from now until xmas and further.

  19. Congrats to everyone, maybe next year I will win. Only one bonus ticket won, and that was to the raffle I bought tickets for. Looking at the numbers we have quite a few that one with low numbers like 776, 471, 981, 541, 431 and of course W1! Is W1 actually the FIRST ticket sold for that one? Enjoy it! oh and PS build the train station FIRST, if you build the castle first you get let down by the simplicity of the train station.

  20. So 2 full months into this sales boost (3/17 is when I saw the huge uptick start) - How long can it go? Does it need to stop? Can we be entering a new golden age for lego reselling?

  21. So the Monkie Kid Sets are available now, no incentives... but anyone think with the quarantine buying frenzy that they will quickly go TOOS?

  22. You need to just click on marketplace then selling if it's an item that was up before it started. Click edit listing and if you are eligible it will allow you to change it to local pickup and shipping then choose the free label option. The whole lisitng layout changed when it rolled out.

  23. Yes. Using it on more than Lego as well. Trying to move low price items that would normally not be worth shipping. Listed 4 items first day and sold 2 in 24 hours. The covid message was there before it started though. They had been rolling out the shipping on the app end prior to select accounts and now are pushing it with the free shipping labels through 6/30 in select categories up to 10lb limit

  26. Well, the funny thing is that Brickpicker members always get a bad rap. We are low life resellers and steal sets from Little Timmy, yet for the past five years the community has come together to help some kids and teachers that they don't even know. It always gives me hope for humanity and very proud to be associated with all of you. This year is especially tough for the school (all schools really) because we cannot do our typical "social" fundraisers like Blingo, Mother's Day Tea, Car Shows and other things that require close contact.

  27. It's good to know that you are safe and your legos are also safe. I had this type of concern before when I also rent storage to keep my collection. Luckily, nothing bad happened.

  29. Totally forgot about this! I bought in early. I always lose in life, but for some reason I am God's gift to raffles. I will post my win soon, no joke.

  30. I'm always amazed by the generosity, but especially this year with everything so screwed up. This is always fun. I always enjoy watching the numbers increase. Reality sets in a few days later when I lugging huge boxes to Staples. But it's all good.

  31. Just made another donation to this great cause and I cannot stop buying raffle tickets. Help!

  32. $33,554 and 5 HOURS LEFT! I already donated last month, but gonna put another donation in cuz all the winners are the ones who wait till the last second. I might wait till the last 4-5 hours, before jumping in again. Here's to probably making $35K, and maybe even FORTY THOUSAND DOLLARS FROM THE BRICKPICKER COMMUNITY (and everybody else I guess).

  33. Took advantage of FBM price surge to unload some dead weight sets that turned out to be not so dead weight now. 34. Let's move these posts over to the "new thread" ☺️ Sorry for the derailment... I only started the tangent here since the deal came up, I should've posted my question in the correct thread. 😴

  35. By the way: Creator Expert as a theme is discontinued. Future sets will have a "classic" black 18+ box design like 10273 in order to specifically target adults & get rid of "childish" box art. This will affect all future models that would fall into the Creator Expert line. (Source: StoneWarsDE) Bummer, I enjoyed the old box art, don't really feel the new one. Modulars with a black box... 🤒

  36. I've had the 10030 on display for 3 years now, and have yet to see any sagging/drooping or issues with magnets. Maybe luck, maybe just build skill The greebling is pretty intense on the new set, but the long side greebles are just one big string of plates that clip on from nose to stern, rather than 20+ repetitions of the same 2x8 plate. Also, the main hull is made up of almost a dozen 16x16 plates. Should speed up the build and improve stability

  37. Oos everywhere, hopefully we'll see it return a couple of times before it's gone for good... it's already 20% over retail price on the bay

  38. DOM'S CHARGER. I am not nearly as critical of this set as Hwu. Yes, its a technic set that doesn't have traditional Rack & Pinion steering, but does have the neat Wheelie display feature. It's boxy, large, heavy, bouncy springs that bottom out, questionable steering mechanism. Its a m-f-ing DODGE CHARGER! If you want a good frame, just don't complete bags 3 and 4 and then you have a really nice underbody that you could use as a template for other models. It's a technic set made more zoomable and easier to control with the rear steering mechanism. This is a fun set.

  39. I haven't heard a peep regarding shipping time from any of my buyers so I'm assuming my packages are arriving on time, in perfect condition by a happy smiling USPS mail carrier.

  40. Also, CASH. That one always cracks me up. How else would you pay? Goats or sheep?

  41. I found another high demand item used PS4. I listed this on FB and 3 people bid the asking price up. I had around 40 people in 2 hours before it sold for $360.

  42. The game is basically the digital version of LEGO. Try playing in Survival mode yourself for an hour and I'm pretty sure you'll be hooked. Yes there are MC sets that did not make it to x2 (I assume you mean RRP). Most infamous example is 21122 Minecraft The Nether Fortress. Only recently made it past RRP, now going for $100 on AMZ (RRP was $80). Set retired 3 years ago.

  44. Free from my uncle. He got them on a job site from the garbage pile. Lady was throwing everything out. She just wanted her garage redone. Looks like the Town Hall will be mostly complete. Box is junk. Instructions are ok though. There are a couple of 4 numbered Fire sets, some Lego movie sets and others as well. A bunch of random sealed bags too..

  45. Great to sell so many big sets in a span of a couple of days, but wow $350 to ship them, and lots of back pain lol.

  46. What I find amazing is that every large set I can think of that retired this past December is performing extremely well already. Cloud City, UCS Y Wing, Carousel, Apocalypse burg, Ninjago City and Docks, Parisian Restaurant... All are already up to prices I wouldn't have expected to see until maybe 2021 holiday season. And all of these could be gotten for heavy discounts just months ago. Ebay prices for some of these have caught up to 3rd party Amazon and Walmart prices. I can't recall the last time the prices of so many sets were being held down by Amazon sellers instead of Ebay sellers.

  47. I finally sold a Tower of Orthanc. Amazing times.

  48. My 30-day sales are ahead of my December total. I'm selling stuff that I didn't think would ever sell. Benny's Spaceships for $200 T1's for $225 I even sold my Sopwith Camel, which I think is the longest hold in my inventory at close to 10 years - for $270.

  49. same here. but I told my wife that my Lego selling days are numbered, and blowing out this much inventory this quickly is super sexy to her
